to kimbo, imo, if u like a phone just buy it (if money is not a prob:). as whether it hangs alot, that can be fixed by firmware update later.

Any 1 in Singapore has purchased P990i ? How's the operation and functions of this fone? Does it "hang" often ? Please share your view, as I'm gonna get one soon. Thanks !

To RoxoR, Can you tell me if the p990 is able to record phone coversations. My old p900 won't, but many of the new SE phones do.

As soon as i upgraded the firmware, I really notice the speed difference in the performance.

P990i just got a few pieces in-stock and we retail them around $1150. Check us out in http://www.soundtech.com.cy . The phone is GREAT as the design of SE QWERTY is VERY clever (inside is QWERTY) and outside normal keypad. The screen is a good size as P910i.
P990i can ONLY be compared with HTC TyTN. Our advice is ''Do NOT buy unless you compare these 2 models''. Direct competition and the only main difference is Symbian vs Window.

Does anybody know if P990 is VOIP ready!!! If so, that might a key selling point for me, and i might end up buying it... the price of the P990 on the net had already droped down from $ 1000USD to $845 USD .. that's a massive price drop within 1 week ONLY!!!

P990 would be in Kuwiat in September , for near 270 KD which is around 950 US$ , unfortunately there is no Arabization , only Arabic support for reading icoming messeges

3 Days ago I bought this phone for about Rp 8,500,000, its not officially out yet in Indonesia, I got the Euro Version ones from someone, only 10 Units available in Indonesia for now from what i heard. I really like it alot, Altho I agree The Icon need to be changed to tell you the difference between the Unread and Read SMS Icon. Either than that It only hang once after 3 days of use. The Battery also last very long time. 3 Days of Heavy use only recharged it once. The Camera is amazing and the phone is really really easy to use once u get a hang of it. U need to plug in to the headset to use the Radio. Since the screen protector isnt out yet, Atom screen protector fit very well into P990i. Hopefully Indonesian and Chinese Language software will be out soon so i can read Chinese SMS. Tried the Business Card Scanning working quite well. Overall I LOVE THIS PHONE.
Very User Friendly.
Good Size Screen + Resolution
Cool Looking without the KeyPad.
Very Recommended.

i really feel excited about this fone. that's why i came back here.
if you consider yourself as a workaholic person, always want to view docs, reach email on the go, then this is perfect for you. well, if you consider yourself as a musicaholic person, then go for N91 Nokia, the sould quality is great. and back to this SE: have you tried the business card scan yet. it is great. after you capture the namecard picture, the fone will process and add the person into your contact, and also automatically allocate name to name field, mobile phone to mobile no. filed.... just that already makes me feel great about this fone.

to your question: in the office folder there is no Microsoft outlook or similar function. however, you can find it supports email in email function located in message folder. this fone can sync with microsoft out look or outlook express very well. i just got this last friday, put it in extreme testing conditions for every function. i strongly believe that this is much better than what people have been saying here.

yo SE/P990 hardcore fans! somebody posted at Nokia E61 (my fave phone:) forum, stating he has 3776 contacts in the outlook addr book and make the phone's contact crash. and saying how a windows phone can handle that amount of contacts well long 4.5 years ago. anybody tried such number of contacts with P990 or any other SE phones? M600 maybe?
