@Mark
Those are fake, believe me.
I have found a page full of pics, including how te remove the keypad. Technical is the review not very good, but it contains lots of live pics from the menu and others.

Thnx a lot grieva, very usefull, thats what I wanted to know. This phone looks great, I just hope its not too slow.
And maybe a nice fact, look this little app for UIQ:
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?fldAuto=1169&faq=6
It turns ur P990 into a wireless webcam, would be a pretty nice combination with my powerbook. (if it works under osx)

HI,this answer to BK. I dont have a picture, but i have a SE p900 and the keypad is held on by two screws and a plastic cover which pops of using the stylus, you get the little screwdriver with the p900 and some spare screws.I have taken it off loads and it is still solid. my phone is almost 2 years old now. I would think the p990 incorporates the same method. Why fix something thats not broken, eh? grieva

Does any body knows where an old SE PHONE can be exchanged for a new one? The P990 is the talk of the town, i do not fool myself. I believe when this phone is made available it will be the BEST, cos SE has always produce the best. Keep it up SONY.

I have a touchscreen phone right now and you have to be really carefull with them, cuz too much pressure on the screen can leave permanent yellow spots on the screen. And the screen sensors gets retarded after a while, so it becomes hard to use.

Thnx for the link, but I want to see how the keypad is connected with the phone. Cuz I hope the connection is solid and wont get crappy after a few times of connecting and removing it.
Is it by the way possible to use this phone as a wifi-webcam? Would be great if it is, right?

the Front keypad with the numbers can be removed, if u take a look at the SE/products/p990, u'll see it in the flash.
as for the firware upgrade, anythings possible.

The SE productpage tells us that the keypad is removable. But I cant find some reallife pics from this phone without the keypad. Does anyone knows some nice pics from this phone which show how the keypad can be removed??
And is it true that this phone doesnt support UPnP, and if not, is there a chance that it will be implemented later by a firmware update?
Thnx a lot!

I see you mention something about 'operating time'. A N80 with a QD batt. will have about the same on time as a P990 (check the amps , screen size etc.) For a'real' business phone nothing comes close to a WM5 OS cell anyway :-)

For those the compare SE P990 and NOKIA N80; you are comparing the wrong phone in the Nokia line. You should at least compare it with the E70 or 9300/I. P990 is a business phone with QWERTY keyboard and operating talk time fit for business purposes. The fact that it has two cameras is not a valid reason to compare it with N80. And to the person that complains that you cannot compare phones which are not out yet I say this. The comparison is done purely on the specification issued by each manufacture, and the GSM Arena so kindly provides for phone enthusiast. You must be a very sad person to take the Mickey of people that read these specs and post their opinions.

Looking at the picture of the SE p990, I think I made up my mind. I'm going for the Nokia N80. This phone looks way too bulky. And two keypads? Why would I need two?

This phone is out and so is the Nokia N80! I just don't know which way to go. I'm looking forward to the video conferencing capability of both phones. My question is, would the video conferencing work if one has the SE and the other the Nokia?
