i think that my best guess for what the "i" stands for international? just because the S500C is for china, and the S500i is for everyone else, but i'm not 100% sure thats what it stands for

i have one from week23 and a key cracked but i have no receipt because i bought it off somebody else and not from a store.
do u think that sonyericsson will repair it for free since it is the phone's problem and the problem is not from daily use?

Can anyone tell me what the "i" stands for in S500i? Is there such a thing as an S500 without the "i"? I see S500 and S500i advertised for sale, but they appear to be exactly the same. I'm so frustrated that I can't find this out, even on the SonyEricsson web page!

to the s500 users, apart from the keypad problem there is 1 other slight annoyance, do not use a magnetic flap pouch/case as the magnets will activate the screen and lights and if left unchecked will really burn up the battery and ur fone will get extremly hot. fone is slightly reseptable to any magnetic field eg:speakers. cheers all

Got this phone to use on the ATT network here in the US and it is just gorgeous. No one has the phone and everyone is blown away by the look & feel - plus call quality is excellent. I text a fair amount but I am very easy on the keys - after about a week of use my #3 key finally cracked. It does not interfere with dialing but I am sure I will be sending it for repair once the other keys start going too. Love the phone in all other aspects though.

So I've got the phone for over 2 months now. Everything about the phone is great, except for two things. I pair it with my Plantronic 665 often, and I noticed that whenever connecting a call, it takes a bit longer than other bluetooth phones. Second, I don't text often, but my "3" and "4" key are cracked down the middle. Outside of these problems, it's honestly a great phone. However, anyone know where I can get the keypad fixed? I did buy the phone off a vendor on eBay. THanx.

I work for a phone shop and this is one of my favourite phones at the moment. The screen saver is amazing and the music and camera are good although the sound quality could be improved. No key cracks on this one the only one I have seen having them problems is the w580i. If your thinking of getting a phone and you like sony get this one.
