mine updated to R2AK006...
1st impresion :
faster ui.....faster media menu....WVGA recording added but not so smooth....
speakerphone now much louder....but no EQ n no general kinetic scrolling
but it's worth update....

If it's nopt available to ... morethanks a lot nokia hater i am also finding a problem when making a call to me satio the ringing does`not ring ongoing only for 5 seconds that it disconnect do you perhaps know what i can do, gone though all my setting and even rebooted the phone still doing the same thing

tapash, 09 Mar 2010nokia hater what firmware did you updated your satioR2K006, that's the new firmware. If it's nopt available to your region, it should be soon. Last night we didn't have it, and we had it this morning. (mid-east)
One odd thing to say is that I had hacked before update, and now I have uninstalled helloox2 and rompatcher+, but I still have access to private folders.

Anonymous, 09 Mar 2010can u explain me where's the transition added? how about s... moreWell answered the the loudspeaker, but the transition are not something real special, but the media part is just too fast, and is a bit more practical, e.g. while marking thing, there is a check mark on the items.

And there is no Vivaz home screen, and I don't you would be able to add it, cuz this firmware in unhackable.

Updated my Satio a few hours ago, I have to say it's much faster now, has some more transitions added, video is pretty good, but has some frame rate issues, it's not exactly 30 frames, it's about 20, 21... frames. Unfortunately, they haven't added equaliser or kinetic scrolling to the whole interface.

i had the Satio for 4 months...got bored with it coz of lack of official themes, games, apps...only good thing about it is the design and the camera (which i didnot use much) so sold it and bought iPHONE 3GS instead and i m glad i did so...

I want to buy the satio to try it out but i am going to wait a bit longer to see what happens,,its still expensive at moment,,come on companys stop chucking out fones and get some quality control back..

This is the quote from my original newsletter on mobile-review.com..it under news section dated 20th feb 2010..

Citing sources close to the Carphone Warehouse, the UK's largest mobile phone retailer, they are saying that although the handset is currently on sale another software issue is set to have the handset withdrawn very soon. If that proves correct it would be a devastating blow to the handset, which has already been withdrawn from sale once before late last year. Another withdrawal will almost certainly mean the end of the handset in the UK. Orange's UK arm seems to be getting in on the action too with reports surfacing that they are preparing to offer half priced contracts with Satio to try and shift their remaining stock of the handset. All in all not a good day for Satio or Sony Ericsson.

insaneman, 08 Mar 2010i was not aware of any hardware changes from the old versio... moreI am not completely sure about the Satio recall done by Sony Ericsson. I have read some places that it was just firmware and other places that its was hardware and firmware. Well, all that I know is that whatever the problem was, it was important enough to warrant a recall. Hopefully most if not all problematic Satio's are fixed or can be. I might get one for summer myself and update to the latest firmware, unless its already installed. I would also like to see an updated review on GSM Arena if possible of the new firmware.
