There is nothing wrong to use that term. Because:
1. It actually decodes HD video
2. It actually Plays back Hd video. You can transfer any HD video or the videos captured by the phone and watch it on the mobile screen or watch it on your HD TV. So if Samsung says you can view HD video, there is nothing wrong in it. You are viewing HD video. It might be in a smaller screen, but it is playing HD. That's only the difference.

As I also mentioned that you can watch a vga video on your mobile or your desktop or your large screen tv. Only the "viewing Experience" will be different. General asked me how many inches is d1. That's why I said it can't be measured that way. But I cant agree on the black strips. There has to be black strips on both side if you watch 4:3 video on a 16:9 screen or you will lose some pixels vertically in order to fit the whole screen horizontally. Try watching a widescreen format movie in your regular Tv. You will know.
Anyways the whole point of having high quality video is not restricted to mobile only. That's why it comes with HD tv out. HD videos are best watched in HD tv. But watching it on the mobile is mind blowing as it's already been mention several times in different websites. It's a technology breakthrough. The phone needs to come with plenty of memory and a higher capacity battery. In case of OmniaHd, they took care of them all plus they have added AMOLED screen for less power consumtion.

Sony Erriccson can never give up creativity.Non sense.
All the same model copied from LG Viewty.
Just puttin a 12.1 MP cam is not what is expected from Sony.
Just watch Nokia N97, a phone of its kind,Thats called future.
People buy the phone for all way functionality n not for going to jungles to take pictures with 12.1 MP cam.
5 MP is more dan enough, if not then 8 MP is more than wats needed.
In One word , Not up 2 the mark.

.SAGEM? R u out of ur mind? Sagem's tech. is far a way from SE n their phones havent competed in markets for a long time. Yeah, it's Sagem who produces phones for u.
. Hardware and softwarer problems? What problems? i didnt see any. And everyone is amazing with the the idou ui, very fast and smoth through finger. That's Ur omnia hd which has problem, go back 2 ur forum then u'll see ur dear friend was talking about how bad is ur hd video recording.

if you play HD video on phone screen 360 x 640 (230400 pxls) so it is useless you cant enjoy HD video at full quality because the screen resolution is limited..HD video is too big for the screen resolution even you wont know whether the video resolution is HD or VGA without you know the video resolution at first...the problem is depend on people's need..if people want to buy a phone coz they want watch video on phone screen they must pay attention to screen resolution limitation it means if the phone has HD video but the screen resolution can only consume 360 x 640 so HD video will be useless but they must pay more money than VGA for it..
HD video on 360 x 640 screen is useless, consume battery power and memory too much but you must pay more money for the useless thing..NO!thanks
i prefer to buy idou...idou is great and fast
yes, you can transfer the video to PC or TV but the real phone purpose will not be special anymore
this is my opinion...if you have diff opinion with me, it is ok but you cant offense people opinion..people has diff taste with you..

what the point r u here? What do u 1 from Se? How much did u get from ur dear samsung? If u have no info. About Idou, plz dont show ur head here and shut ur mouth up! I 1 2 c ur face on 28 may when the official of idou is announced. And if u have any badmouth about se!

You can not show any official announcement about the lousy battery or other software / hardware issues.
1000mAh battery seems finale - poor judgment!
SE is unable to release this phone this year and the site of manufacture is not set - has to be an outside company!
Show the OFFICIAL source otherwise!
SE does not know what to do with this model:
- no manufacturer (SE burned with HTC already - see X1 fiasco)
- lousy battery
- software hardware problems
- better models coming soon from.......
- outdated design (Viewty 2 years ago)
- no special feature except the useless 12mp camera

HD recording is much less resolution than taking pictures - so it is not pointless.
But to increase over 8mp while decrease quality is pointless.
