Ive owned this phone for a couple of months now and I have no real issues with it. I'll just respond to a few of the cons that ppl repeatedly complain about.
1. the screen. - well it may be out dated but its still a nice display its not the best..but nothing really is. plus viewing it in the sun is not really an issue it has a glossy look but it doesn't completely wash out. also the screen is a little dark but not super dark..there are options to change brightness and contrast..or u can just buy new screen off of an earlier t610.
2. reception is not the best once again but its pretty good. altogether ive had 2 dropped calls in 2 months. this is way better than my old motorolla timeport and nokias. normally i have no reception in my house but once the t610 grabs a bar it hold on to it..plus what do you expect from a phone with an internal antenna anyways?
3. the camera..i think its just plain stupid for people to buy a camera phone...this camera really does suck..but hey it was put in there as a gimmick..i mean the only reason i bought this phone is because of the numerous features (bluetooth!), looks, and price. can't beat the value. honestly, if you're looking for a camera phone look somewhere else..IMHO all camera phones suck. go invest in a real camera.
so therefore, can't beat this phone in value, features, and stlying.
onyl really annoying thing is that it get soooooooooo dirty..which is annoying..but thats not really an issue..
- oh and looking at a lot of other phones this phone is very solidly built full metal casing (aluminum shell i think). i dropped mine on concrete and it bounced a few times and it still works perfectly..my friend dropped his samsung v200? and haha it dead. so yeah thats my opinion. a lot of ppl who write reviews on here don't even own the phone.

i have a data cable and want 2 send tones to my fone from my pc but cant seem 2 do it....is there a particular piece of software i need?if so wot is it. cheers

Can anyone tell me what exacty the differences are between the 630 and the 610? according to this site, they are ngligible, besides the newer look and higher price. thanx a lot.

I think this is the perfect phone. Im going to buy it to my boyfriend for Christmas.Here in Spain it costs 129 euros with vodafone life

Yes it's true. The screen is a pretty outdated STN (Super Twisted Nematic) type. It is a type of passive matrix screen. These require backlighting and are noticeably darker than a TFT,TFD, or OLED screen. If you tilt the T610 through a few degrees, you will notice the screen darkens appreciably. It's similar to the way you can't see what's displayed on a laptop screen from certain angles. The camera is not a VGA type either, so it takes very grainy pictures.

Those whose T610's Just hang or anything,just go to the sonyericsson service center and they will upgrade it to the R3l firmware version instead.And for those who say it has a dark fuzzy screen..........YOU ARE JUST PLAIN BLIND!!!

Could you plz show me the web or wap sites where I can free download games 4 my T610? By the way, show me how to download them to my mobile without a laptop ('cause I don't have a laptop). Will I have to buy a cable or a Infared gate?

or u can get a samsung e715(best phone out in US) or p400

I have used the T610 for about a day, while i am a T68i and T39m user (and hopefully will be a P900 user soon) and also a Nokia user (used 5 nokias, and still have 2 nokias with me), i will say the biggest draw back will be the SMS, you will have to re-learn some keying... some people will tell you that the RF of the T610 or almost all SE for that matter, is inferior compared to Nokia, well the 3650 and 6600 will have better RF, I have to admit, but you will not notice a very big difference... one of the best thing on this phone is the Theme... ahhh theme... you won't get enough of this... just try to go down the thread... you will see more opinions

I have read from CNET.com or MSN that the T610 is the best selling phone this year in the USA, naf said.
