TFT is active while STN is passive.
TFT tends to be brighter and refreshes faster while STN refreshes slower, but TFT uses more power than STN.

The T610's speakers is at the same place where you would place your ear to listen to your calls...

Listen to the guy below if you want stupid advices or just for a laugh.

T610 and Z600 share the same software. Differences are that the Z600 has TFD screen and a seperate speaker for polyphonic. Also you can change covers on the Z600.

          Nokia for user-friendliness?
User friendly means you're just used to it. Guess the person below is used to having lame phone.. so that must be user friendly for him..

T610 cheaper here when compared to the 7650.

TFT uses more power but brighter.
STN uses less power but not as bright and rich.

My IR works like a charm..

IR is located at the top black part of the phone.

I've got this phone and so have alot of my friends and we're all satisfied with it. The only problems i can see is that the camera is abit dodgy (dark) and my infared doesn't seem to work, least there is bluetooth tho :) I'd give this phone about a 7 or 8 out of 10

Sorry. About the 'dictionary' thing... wrote in the wrong forum =)..

By the way, does your D700 have the capability to add words into the dictionary?..

                                  7650 is a SmartPhone.
                                  T610 is just a phone.

Software wise, the Symbian SamrtPhone OS is more powerful than any standard phone os.

So the 7650 is good software wise as in can install new app and all.. But T610 can send full MMS, IR/Bluetooth which actually sends stuff (including midi)... 7650 can't send midi..

As for hardware, T610 wins overall.. T610's cons in hardware are it's memory and the camera... 7650's camera is better than the T610's camera.. 7650 also has speaker phone (Does it?)..but other than that, the T610 has better screen, better finish and built quality, more solid, better polyphonic speakers....

Can any one tell me that which of Nokia 7650 and SE T610 is better. Personally i like 7650 more but its a little bit big. But I dont know hows the photo quality of the camera is of the SE t610 and if it has night option or not. Whats the memory of t610? What is meant by STN screen? Can u add applications in it as in nokia 7650"?

Oh yeah.. Having Bluetooth and IR doesn't mean it has the same capability as Sony Ericsson's BT and IR..

Again, with referrence to the Nokia 7250i, Samsung V200 and Sony Ericsson T610...

While the T610 has option to send midis, pictures, themes, your entire contacts, appointments and all via IR, the Samsung can't do those.. neither can the Nokias... Nokia can send 'business' card with one name... not sure about the V200..

what phone are you using 'haha?'

D700 is of a total different class already =).. It's not a phone but a smartphone.. I though you were referring to a normal Samsung phone.. as all normal Samsung phones does not have function to save words into T9 Dictionary and is very messy...

Your phone's capability of adding words into the dictionary is not because of Samsung's work, but just that they chose a right OS for their smartphone which is Symbian. You can't compare Symbian phones to normal phones. Totally different class. Like comparing the P800 to the 7250i or something.
