THE SONY ERICSSON PHONE SUPPORTS UPTO 2GB M2 CARD~ READ THE FULL INFO FROM THE SE SITE BEFORE YOU ASK SILLY QUESTIONS.....

    For Jared...
You MUST charge your new battery up for about 12 hours if you want a long working life from it in the future. The 12 hours is what is called the activation time - the battery, new, must be activated since it has never been charged before. If this process is not taken, you will notice a significantly shorter battery life... Note that is it always recommended that you fully use up the battery before charging it again - product does produce memory effect, which is when the battery capacity decreases because you charge it prematurely (even if the battery is designed not to produce memory effect)

This may be the problem with Jimmy...

Hope that helps... (THE FELLOW BELOW ME, T_T)

Very poor battery 3 hours of radio and 2 hours of music on speaker and battery is almost empty.
most annoying thing is that tik tik noise when listening through headset, don't know it's headset or phone!
has anyone else the same problem?
the main reason i choose this phone was battery and quality headset, so disappointed to see none has achived.

            For Shaniz,
You can first try deleting the Opera Mini application on the phone. Since it connects to the internet constantly, and if you delete it, that should stop the use of data on your phone... If the application is locked (cannot be deleted), again I recommend you to get your phone flashed. When getting it flashed, ask the person/store flashing the phone to flash it with the IMEI number that you found on the box (warranty card).

            Hope that helps.

Hmm.. Alot opf people asking questions...

                    For Shaniz...
I am sorry to say that it seems that you may have purchased a stolen or a fake W200 phone... The fact that your IMEI number on the phone is different to that on the warranty card tells me that someone has tempered around before this phone was put up for sale...

To solve the security code problem - the only way is to take it to a shop and ask it to be flashed (master reset) - there is no other bypass...

It is not possible to increase the word limit for texting - all GSM countries follow a rule that allows only a specific number of words, the same amount in all countries, thus this cannot be edited...

RDS is Radio Data Service. This only works in few countries, and it is basically when you are listening to radio, messages come up on the screen (eg name of song) from the radio station.

When you say the warranty card, do you mean the white sticker on the side of the box of the W200 packaging?

For Jimmy, yes this phone can be used as a modem for connecting to internet (charges from your provider may apply). To set this up, install the CD that came with your phone, and select the Networking Wizard (or similar) and follow the steps from there.

Also note that various functions on the phone consume different battery amounts. The battery and phone use is predicted by the phone depending on what you are doing. Thus, for example, you are watching video and the battery is red. But this may become orange when you move to Radio - each consumes different battery power, the video sucks more than the radio.

For Natasha, you can update the phone in 2 ways. One, you can go to MENU, SETTINGS, GENERAL, UPDATE SERVICE, and SEARCH FOR UPDATE. Network charges may apply for this, since each update by phone is about 2MB. Two, you can update via PC, by downloading a programme called Sony Ericsson Update Service. Install this and follow the instructions.

For Sethu, I recommend the W300 (Better quality WALKMAN than the others)

For Jared, use the data cable (MASS STORAGE)...

For Adam, this phone supports semi Flash menus... Not sure on how to explain this, but some themes you get (depends on where you live) are flash based... But the phone doesn't support flash applications. This phone does support flash drive modre (FILE TRANSFER is the MASS STORAGE mode).

                    For Harrison, get the W810...

Can some one tell me if this phone (w200a) is worth getting? As there are over 800 posts on this phone i don't have time to read them all. I just need to know if this phone is good or not. I was told the w810 is better and need help making up my mind. Thanks for all the help.

This phone CAN have songs in the background, I listen to them whilst texting, using apps and other things. It also pauses during calls and then carries on playing afterwards. It does NOT! support being played whilst file transfers with the computer, although this is just to avoid data corruption as all phones/mp3 players do this.

One question I have is the whether it support Flash or not?

                            Very strange phone:
1.battery status was in red ,when i turned the radio on it became orange with longer charge bar!does it recharge itself in radio mode or what?
2.very annoying noise between tracks on headset which can hurt ears.it has no great sound on speaker too.
3.screen lock works on radio screen, sound folder ,... and doesn't work in others like
                            contact screen and...
also it would be nice that we could customize lock wait duration and key sequence.
also i have firmware version R4HA014 which update service says is the last version.

I dont like the camera. It does not take pictures well.I think they should carry down the price because the pictures move from one side to the next it does not stay still.
