Oh yeah, I just wanted to tell you guyz. I have just exchanged my battery for a new one and it lasts very long now (up to a full day of listening MP3 through earphones). I simply think that that is something all of you should know about using Li-Poly batteries.
I have read that Li-Poly (Lithium-Ion Polymer) batteries must not be completely drained out. Otherwise, they will not return to full capacity. My previous battery (when I first bought my phone) was completely drained the day I purchased it. Therefore, this might be causing it not to hold a lot of charge.
Here are some tips when buying your phone and after you have bought them. When buying your phone, IF THE BATTERY IS COMPLETELY EMPTY, DO NOT ACCEPT IT. Ask for a replacement battery. Also when using your phone, DO NOT EMPTY THE BATTERY COMPLETELY. I suggest leaving about 10% of battery before charging it. Any less than that might cause your battery to drop below the safe voltage and make it never recover to full capacity again.
For your information, Li-Poly batteries (the battery this phone is using) do not suffer from memory effect. Charge it anytime you want and charge it often. Let's say you have to be out whole day tomorrow and tonight your phone has about 30% of battery left. Just charge it without thinking twice. People from olden days would ask you to completely finish the battery before charging it or it will spoil. But this new type of battery does the opposite: emptying it fully will spoil it. Only NiCad type have the so called "memory effect".
I hope I am not too long-winded here. Just trying to explain to you how to maintain your battery.
Peace out. W200i battery ROX! XP

Hey Guyz, I am hearing many complains about the memory card. Anyway, I really recommend all of you to format the memory card once before taking any further action. Sometimes, the dealer whom you bought the phone from gave you an old card and did not format it properly. This might cause the card to have some internal errors. Anyway, it might not be permanent so a full format will do.
Try not to use quick format because it might not correct more severe problems on the card. Also, after formatting, don't forget to start your phone up before copying anything into it, so that your phone can create appropriate folders for the card in order to recognize the files.
There is one more issue I face when I have just formatted the card. The phone does not automatically create a folder for camera pictures. I experienced a problem yesterday: When taking a picture, the phone, somehow, could not find the folder, and the picture was not saved. This should not alarm all of you as the phone have not created a folder for the camera pictures yet in this case. I tried taking another picture and it worked just fine. So next time you reformat your card, follow these procedures before using it:
1. Start up your phone.
2. Take a picture. Any picture will do.
3. Your memory card is now adapted to the phone. You may now use it.
One more thing, I don't use the software disc. Instead, I only use it like a removable drive. This might be the solution to some of you who have problem using the software. However, you have to know where each type of file should go (pictures into image folder, audio into ringtones, etc...). I bet this would not pose a problem to most of you guyz...
OK. That's it for now. Will be checking this forum again. Hope I helped most of you.
Peace out. W200i ROX!

Anybody there using -
"M2 USB Adapter - CCR 70"
I dont find this question anywhere -
Its a Sony product which helps fast transfer of data to M2 Cards thru PC (music, pictures, sounds, etc). I want to know how fast it transfers the data like mp3 files from pc to 1gb M2 Card - while transfering it thru the present normal USB data cable, I get transmission error after sometime and asking my pc to to restart or refresh the File Manager. Also data transfer is single I mean i cannot copy all files together but i select any single mp3 file then paste it t the phone and so on i need to select all the mp3 files from pc and then transfer it to the memory stick - Does this adapter really help fast transfer of data thru pc to the phone without any errors?

I am still looking for the appropriate parts for the upgrade - I can't risk using eBay due to the fake products they tend to sell... I am pretty sure that the LCD and Camera module replacement/mod are compatible. Living in New Zealand, where the K510 wasn't released, you can understand that it is going to take a while to find a K510, let alone somebody who is selling it in parts T_T. As a result, I am saving up money to buy a brand new K510 from a importer here... I will post the before-after later on at a seperate site - I am about 30% saved up at the moment...
Lets hope my W200 doesn't break down before the mods....

To jimmy:
Oh yeah, 1 more thing. When you buy your SanDisk product, look for the SanDisk hologram on the casing. It may be a bit hidden but it should be quite visible.
Mine have a hologram sticker on the front of the casing.

To jimmy:
My SanDisk memory is made in China, too! It works fine with me. Anyway, as long as it has the SanDisk logo, don't worry. It is genuine.
Many things are made in China nowadays so don't be surprised. My W200 and its memory card are both made in China. Lolz.
Enjoy and don't worry too much. Even if anything happens, you have a warranty, right?
