The W200 can play 3gp, and 3gpp, and I believe that it can play mp4 as well...
W200 has WALKMAN player version 1, the same found on the W800. The sound quality on W200 is similar to W800 (when using the individual supplied headphones), but when listening with the HPM-70, the sound quality is roughly the same.
W200 plays videos on a resolution of 176*144 only. Any bigger, you will see a black screen and hear only the sound. Keypad and joystick is like the K310 (and K320 and K510)
Most users of W200 have not experienced any freezing, but the W200 does have some bugs, most of which can be fixed with updates.
Response time of processor is similar to W800, or a wee bit slower than K510.
The casing is matt plastic. The screen is prone to scratches (as with all mobile phones).

Guyz i hv sum question abt dis phone.
1.is dis da same walkman player dat is used in w800?n plz compare da sound n display quality wid w800.
2.can it play mp4(video)?if it does den in wat resolution?
3.wat abt da keypad n joystick is it easy 2 use?
4.is dis phone stable(i mean does it restart or hv ny prob)?
4.is dis phone response quickly while messin around da menu?
5.wat abt da casin is it easy to scratch.can it b used 4 a longer period of time(over 1yr)?

For ad, this phone is not capable of getting a virus (only Symbian and Windows based OS can get viruses), thus no virus scanners are available.

Hi kaley if you want to save sent messages make sure that ur sis's phone has some free space in her phones memory. Hope this information helps u

Hi every one, you can add a 2gb m2 card (which isn't compatibal with the fone. If 2gb card is added the func like cam wont work 4 some days) in it but the fone wont work properly, the speed of the fone will be vv slow. So it's advisable to use 1gb card.

does this save all msgs sent and received cause my sister's phone doesn't save her sent msgs so she can't go back and reread or resend sent msgs.

it is a nice phone to listen music but there is some problem i.e,it is not having blooth after that it is one of the best piece in low budget.

For Agasthi,
I have been using 1gb m2 card for this phone. It makes some sounds (2-3 per mp3 track) so its making it too heavy i guess - so thought Sony says on its website for 2gb compatibal, sony technical people says it can handle 1gb - still a mystery!! but with my experience, you can go with 1gb and not with 2gb card. Want to play it without any sounds, you can go for 512mb m2 card for more space!!!

To use voice control, you should to connect the handsfree to the phone. Then, go to menu and set up the control. To start using the voice control, simply press the button on the handsfree and you can follow the instructions from there. Or, you can press the volume button on the phone to start using the voice control without the handsfree. Follow the instructions from there. Just make sure that Voice Control is ON.

Can someone please try listening to music via the phone's speakers and tell me if there is some hissing? Or, can somebody try listening to a very quite song (e.g. Mozart) in a quiet environment with a handsfree kit and tell me if they hear some hissing. This is because the majority of WALKMAN phones seem to have a hissing problem when listening to quiter songs. The hissins volume is constant, thus can be heard in low volume and not heard in higher volumes...

Gust got it. Its just superb it has all i need. Its just that all the head phone charger and the usb has to be fitted in the same slot. You can also use mp3 and amr files as message tones, you can also download dictionary in it. Its just great and worthy.

Hi, Thanks a lot for your detailed reply. Lately I found out in the bus i played the files from WALKMAN, TRACKS and it was showing in the playlist and I had composed this reply in advance!! - thanks a lot to KLD & 5ushi.
Yes, high pitched sound may be 2-3 times per song some (chuk-chuk) sounds and no hissing sound its crystal clear I like dat!!! Due to errors i could not fill up 1gb card, may be the high picthced sound is due to traffic jam (:( - ha ha but its cool thanks to SE still it works and more better that those old audio tapes where it was a long process to play your songs using pencils or ballpens when the magnet tapes comes out - at times, the tapes were thrown in the dustbins but here we can at least keep the tracks (mp3) in M2s -
Transfering files works fine but needs RE-TRY from the FILE MANAGER and needs RESTART of the computer - out of time, so could make it to only 30 mp3s.
BTW, is there any monstor phone that can store upto 4gb files and play it fine without any high picthed or hissing sounds thats just for my info - I guess w810 can do that - pleez let me kno. - Thanks
