W300 has a beter sceen than Z530 and worse than w700.
The screen of the z530 is UBC 65000 colors and the other 2 have TFT 262000 colors.
Both w300 and z530 are 128x160 pix and the w700 is 176x220.

Hi every one can U please tell me how is he clarity of the screen???Is it same of that of w700i ?? or it has the same bad clarity as of z530i????please help me

I have a Soney Ericsson w300 and i is the best phone i have ever had, the only downside is the screen isnt that big and the camera isnt a megapixel. Ive dowloaded tones of themes for it and games all for free. Adding music to the w300 is so easy and i love it. Overall i give this phone an 8

I bought this cell a month ago but its font of sms is so bad that can't be read easily.Please any one kindly tell me how can I change its font?is there any software for changing the font to be downloaded in the phone.Because the Sony representatives say that the font can't be changed.Thanks in Advance

1 - I love this sort of comments, you surely tested all other 32748 phones already.
2 - I do agree that it's a nice mobile, but to be considered good it should be reliable to begin with. Before SE ever sort out the crashing issues you can't consider the w300 as a serious communication device.

This is my sixth phone (after motorola talkabout, t105, t230, t610 and p800) and the keys of w300 is as good if not better than any of them except for the talkabout which had an ultra comfortable rubber keypad. (yes the p800 had touchscreen but only talking about the keypad)
i find the speaker a bit louder than w700 (though i dont use it much).
the only problem is i am not able to play the cricket games due to the smaller screen
battery life is smashing isnt it?

I have had this phone for a month now. The keypad took a little getting used to but now I have the hang of it and I don't have small fingers. I very much enjoy this phone. I like the fact that it's a clamshell and mp3, I don't have to worry about locking the keys all the time. I am also curious if the 2gb m2 will slow the phone down at all. I am currently interested in purchasing more memory.

How well does the phone work with a 2gb m2 card. i wanna buy one but i dont want my phone to slow down. is it going to slow down or stay at the same speed as the 256 mb card. please answer this question even if your not sure. just lie to me. thanks!

What is listening to and flicking through music like? Is it easy and fast? I notice it has that button on the side, but it looks really uncomfortable. Also what is the interface like? Is it like all the other sony erricson phones? And is the phone really bulky? Thanks.

It's a cool phone - I agree, but anyone who says the keypad is 'comfortable' either has matchsticks for fingers or has never used any other phone before.

I think the w300 is a wonderful phone.I always say that i do not want any flip phones but when i say the w300 i said i have to get one. My only problem is the is not much security on it Sony Ericsson need more security on their phones eg. APPLICATION LOCK is a wonderful feature that every phone should have.

Flight mode : shut down and when starting choose the music mode
keypad : very comfortable.. unless one has fingers of the size of elephant
