the latest price of this brand new phone is now Rs. 5100 - 5350.. however I am still not gonna buy this coz of the low batt life and also no support to additional themes or games etc...

it can store only 70 msg's nd there r lots of problems wid da phone dont go 4 it...!

Before any 1 buys this phone please note that this phone does not supports theme. Its music quality is great and it cant be compared with any other phone or brand. Buy this phone if you want a very high loud speaker and hands free pound

this phone is ery slow in the data because when you log in it only to disconect.

im really disappointed with this phone. it is so basic. the sound sometimes dont function well. its a music phone but it only has short recording, 30 seconds.
motion game support is fake, i cant feel its motion-ness. too many message prompts with regards to internet settings and others. no zoom on images. so sorting too. no pc suite support. left and right selection key cannot be changed. no theme support.
i wish i had bought nokia 5130 instead of this phone. sorry for the bad response.

Hi Amit, The answer to your question (Can i use internet through my computer with w395?) is a resounding "YES", provided you configure your phone modem properly. I'll tell you how to this for >> ANY PHONE MODEM devmgmt.msc) Under 'Advanced' tab in the phone modem properties, Enter this Initialization command :
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP",""
Just don't copy & paste it, See carefully, You have to first replace your internet service providers access point (GPRS APN). You can find it in your phone's GPRS configuration settings or you can ask the customer care support of your ISP or alternatively, you can download a list of popular GPRS APNs worldwide, Click to dOwnload the list .
Example "airtelgprs.com" for airtlel (India) and the command will be
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com"
Note : All phone modems doesn't support all commands, but this is the one which worked on most phone modems.
Once you've configured your phone modem, the only thing you have to do is to create a dial-up connection using the phone modem. This is very simple, even for newbies. Open Network connections in windows control panel and select 'create new connection' from file menu. When asked, select 'set up my connection manually'. You can give an ISP Name or you can leave it blank when asked. The most important thing while creating a dial-up connection is the dial-up phone number. First try using *99# or *99***2# (it works for most GSM based ISPs in India) and then, if it doesn't work, ask your ISP for their dial-up phone number. Rest entries hardly make any difference (even user name and password are not specific in most cases). Add a shortcut to this connection on your desktop and use it to CONNECT TO THE INTERNET.
Note : Besides these things, internet uses are only recommended with a data-plan subscribed (internet subscription), otherwise it may not turn out to be 'economic' for you.
Well, One last word, this is not the best place to write a tutorial on 'How to connect to the internet with a phone modem'. We are supposed to share our opinions about a phone here. Nobody will appreciate a communication on modems, internet and 'HOW TOs' here. Therefore I have kept this post compact but still providing sufficient information for an experienced user. If you are facing any trouble regarding this Q&A, tell me, cause I'll be glad to help you. If you guys need and suggest, We can start a discussion on this topic on any popular discussion website.
PS : If you want to use your phone as a usb modem then always connect it in 'Phone Mode'.
On your phone select Menu->Settings->Connectivity->USB and select 'phone mode'.
Also if you want to get rid of hitting dial button, every time you connect, then open your dial-up connection properties and under 'Options' tab uncheck 'prompt for name and password...' and 'prompt for phone number'. That's it.

My 1st priority was for music,well iam satisfied in that.But all of its other functionalities are worse.
Software is too bad so that it is very slow and frequently getting stucked.

MUST READ THIS REVIEW BEFOR... moreHi there.. What is your opinion about these missing basic features that any phone of this price and standards must provide ??
1. It doesnt support themes except the 5 default ones
2. It doesn't support pc suite or any such applications. It completely misses obex interface
3. No synchronisation of contacts or anything possible. You will have to transfer contacts from old phone to new phone ONE BY ONE via bluetooth
4. sms memory only 50 and if you delete all sent ones, then maximum of 100
5. No phone-conversation recording
6. sound recording only for 30 seconds!!!!!
7. No zooming of images possible
8. Battery life 1 day
9. No shorcuts button of SE
9. No 'notes' option in organiser
10.No support of text files
