I have had 2 of these phones, the first one white-screened after 5 days and the second one kept deleting all my games and applications so im on my third one now, they are a good phone but how many do i have to go through before i get on that bloody works.

1)does the mp3 ringtone plays the whole mp3 song or just parts of it?
Ans: yes, but anyway if phone rings, cannot wait till whole song play then pick up phone right?? =) u can edit yr mp3 to the part u like then put into yr phone loh. but u got to find software to edit it.
2)does it drain a lot of electric.
Ans: this phone battery is very powerful. can use long long long also not so easy drain out.
3) and is it loud enough?
Ans: yes. it is very loud.

1)Can i use the phone to listen to mp3's and radio in music only mode without a SIM-CARD init???
Ans: i think should be can. Cos u can actually just on the music only. when u switch on the phone. they will ask. phone or music only.

1)what is the different between W550 and W550i ?
Ans: i think w550 is not out. im from singapore. they only came out w550i. is worth the buy. don worry. everyday i change themes, ringtones and sometimes the phone cover. so everyday is fresh. ^_^
2)between W990 and W550 which 1 is nicer and better ?
Ans: W990?? never hear before. if u mean w900i, is good also. but is bigger and have 3G. is good. but too expensive.. maybe wait for 6months and see how.

u buy the phone. they have 2 inside. 2 different colour. my friend got blue and orange. i got white and orange.

The difference bwn W500 & W600 is that W600 have EDGE! I don't know what is that. Can some one tell me please. What do u think is 256 mb good? Or to bye a 6230i whit 512 mb? Does this phone has any problems whit softwear??? piiz all!!!!!!!!!

Listen if u have money thn no one can regret W900 is way better thn any phone, but if you have ur boundaries, and being an economic thinker, after buying W550, u'll say oh my money didnt go in a waste ... and there's no difference b'w w550 and w550i, except for what we pronounce it ...

Can this phone play all mp3 music/that we convert from CD by ourself coz I heard the SONY WALKMAN can only plays registered/ceritified?or something like that mp3

Bought this phone yesterday. (SE550i actually, what's the difference anyway)
I am no phone expert but I'll give it a 8.5.
Initially I wanted to buy a panasonic vs7, but I found too big for my liking and well, it doesn't have much memory compared to SEW550.
Display is good, after you take off the plastic flim on it. The orange theme of the phone put me off a bit, but I changed it to blue now.
Camera, despite boasting about 1.3MP, was not that great. Average pics taken I guess, but below my expectations.
The texting feature is a bit difficult to understand though (for ex-non-SE-users). I can't seem to get the hang of it. Kept stabbing at wrong buttons.
Sound quality is excellent, never heard anything like that on a mobile. But I supposed that it could be a bit louder. Anyone knows how to fix that?

Today a heart-shaking experience took place upon me... I had tht WormsForts game minimesed, My blue tooth was running a file transfer ... and just then i tried to open the walkman application, guess what, my phone hanged ! Just when my eyes were too big, the phone restarted ....
hahahhahhahha it was a dreadful experience hence i need you guys to not to open more then two applications at once ... or .... :)
