i am using this for only 2 hours and it started hanging. but it has extraordinary sound quality. the flash is very good.

Recording calls, as far as I know, isn't part of the Sony Ericsson W550 feature set. Call recording is a feature seen on PocketPC phones (through third party software) and Symbian-equipped mobiles.

It depends on where you're looking. It could also be because the demand for the W550i here wasn't as great as the demand for the W800i. The competition in the W800i's region could be driving the prices down. It's still going to be a tradeoff, though. The W550i is also great as a gaming phone, while the W800 has a better camera and an expansion slot.

No doubt that this phone has extraordinary sound quality but when it comes to battery backup and processing it looses colour.
In just 3 months it has also started hanging up.

I bought this phone this year in February. The best phone I have ever spent money on! It has all the features I am looking for. HOWEVER, all of a sudden it is not getting any signal. It may be because I'm in America but it says it's a tri-band phone. In any case it's an awesome phone :)

I had this phone but now have the W810. The W550 is a mans phone, quite bulky but rugged and durable. If this phone had a memory card it would be fantastic! Best sound system without earphones i've seen on any phone yet. Please Sony Ericsson add a memory card and re-release this phone

i brought the w550i phone bout 15 mnths ago , best phone ive ever had wicked but just 2 day i have sound but no screen and im gutted just be for xmas aswell can any one give me advice as im lost without my phone, as anyone had this problem if so can i fix it thanx a x

yO! my phone turned white b4 also i sent it to sony but i already knew the problem from the start! do the update on your phone! sonnect it onto ur PC and download the program from sonyericsson.com n update your phone after that everything should be fine!

i used this phone for nearly 5 months n its very cool.but the memory is very short.and its camera is only 1.3 mega pixel.but its a good phone
