I had a lot of issues with this phone but I can not just replace this with something else because I am too attached with its great look. The swivel design is very cool especially the color. All in all this phone is really for us. Great color, nice features, cool design.

    i have this phone only 2 days i bought the phone in phone house in belgium because the price was only 170 euros and in an other shop he stood there for 299 euros.I liked the phone very much because i tested the phone from my father he has the same, and when i opened my phone and the phone from my father i saw that the back of the phone from my father was signed with the walkman picture and on my phone the signe wasn't there.So now i'm wondering of the phone is fake because the price is so low and also the signe was missing.Could somebody give me an explonation for this situation

      I wanna download opera mini to my phone. Is this safe if my w550 software version is R4CB020. Coz I don't wanna have white screen problem anymore like before. For those who need free themes download, I suggest to seek in www.zedge.net or www.mobile9.com. You need to register first before you get more download access.

        I wanna download opera mini to my w550. Is this safe if the software version of my550 is R4CB020. Coz I don't wanna have white screen problem anymore like before. For those who need to download theme, I suggest www.zedge.net or www.mobile9.com. You need to register before you can have more access to download.

                      At last I've finally managed to repalace my N-gage QD for a sony ericsson w550 and let me tell u all that its a great phone and worth the money.

                      I've been using it for 2 weeks now. The layout and shape of the phone are great but rather thick if u wanna put it in a pocket.

                      The screen display is good enough and really bright in the dark.

                      The keypad is comfortable to use since the keys are a bit larger than other mobiles.

                      The camera is 1.3 megapixel with nightmode, funny frames, burst mode, and also a flashlight to help u take photos in dark areas.

                      The photos on a PC look nice but keeps u wishing for more and also the same for video clips.

                      The phone has a shared memory of 256MB and that leaves about 232MB for the user. I think its a really good memory to store photos, and MP3 songs.

                      The walkman is just the masterpiece of this great cell phone. The sound is really great from the loudspeakers or the included headsets and even on a bluetooth headset! This walkman application has a stereo widening feature which allows u to make the singer's voice as an echo.

                      It also has an equalizer with the megabass feature. You can also set ur phone on startup to use the walkman only without logging into the GSM network if u were on a plane or a place the mobile phone usage is prohibited.

                      The FM radio is also a good feature in this phone. It supports RDS (radio data system) which is a small text line broadcasted from the radiostation that gives u advertisements and also information about the played song or program.

                      Unfortunately u cant use the sound equalizer for radio. the radio supports automatic scan and auto save for stations.

                      In the entertainment section, you will find interesting Java Games, Music DJ, photo DJ and Video DJ which allow to edit ur files as u want.

                      A simple sound recorder is also located under entertainment and it also records calls.

                      Messaging is average for all sonyericsson phones and it supports SMS, EMS, MMS, instant messaging, and also voicemail.

                      the browser of this phone supports GPRS (at least in my network operator).

                      Infrared and bluetooth are simply compatible with all other phones and PC's and u will find no problems. You can also remote control ur PC using ur W550!

                      The organizer section contains alarms, world clock, calender, tasks, notes, timer, stopwatch, calculator, flashlight, and also a code memo to save certain codes and passwords.

                      The phone also has a great file manager in order to organize, rename, delete,and move all file types.

                      The phone themes are really intersting. They can change the layout of ur phone and the wallpaper completely. Orange themes are the best.

                      The package of the phone includes a headset, charger, menus, quick guide menus, USB cable, and also extra ear plugs 4 ur headset and also a white extra cover.

                      Changing the front cover was problem since it was very delicate and hard to pull out and that caused my white front cover to break but no problem since the orange one looks really great on the phone.


                      There are also grey and black covers available for the phone and black is nice also.

                      The phone could be easily connected to the PC via cable. A windows XP operating system will recognize the phone as a USB external drive.

                          1st thanx 4 reply,sarit but u dont know the exact problem what i am facing.
                          the problem is dat i was downloading the data to my pc to my phone but i think i hav deleted something from my phone dat is why when i taking the pictures dat are not saving and along with dat when i am checking my status of phone memory den that is showing dat 142mb is left but when i am caluculating dat where the rest of memory used but i m not getting 114mb used* and i hav taken dis mobile phone 2weeks ago so please tel me the solutions as soon as possible.

                              JAMMU HELP ME PLZZ??

                              hey , am a proud user of the w550 but can you help me with the pc to phone connection? how do you put songs on your song/ I HEARD YOU SAID NOT TO USE THE DISC one, its true after i used thats phone got a virus but its back so what to use the removable disc way in my computer? plzz help me thankz

                                  Hi,best sound available on a cellphone and the sound through earphones is too good to be true,been using it for 1 month and no drawbacks till now.For those who say that the swivel becomes loose maybe you dont know how to use a phone ,mine still clicks firmly!!and i often open it!

                                    Guys, yes this is a good one. but has many bugs like: say your fone is in Vibrating mode,when u are on a call if you receive any alert like sms, alarm, reminder etc.. will get vibration. It is most irritating and sometime feel throw at the wall. u get a brain damage wen this happens. the thing is we shuld actuall get a beep sound instead.

                                      I have faced the same problem. What I did, I just switched the phone off and after a few seconds, I again turned the phone on. And this solved my problem.

                                        ppl:D listen to sarit! i bought this fone because of him:)...an i'm very very happy with it:P...and ppl if u don't know to use a fone don't buy it! because this fone isn't unbreakable :D....learn to handle a fone!!!!
