really the phone is awesome.but one question can anyone can able to answer whether the game light A and B will glow or not.pls let me know if yu guys know.

really nice cell.great sound.i daily used it with headphone(have a great sound)during my walk for nearlly 3 hours and it battry droppes only 10 percent.nice life

i love this fone sexy disgn,great great soft soft sound in hp and ofcourse its stearo speakers,and its great features,good cammra.weldone SonyE.u r ofcourse great.when my friend see it in my hand they say u r lucky u have sexy mobile in your hand

iam having this phone for a month and i feel that iam a proudful owner coz this device has all what yu want and the performance is great.But i do have query that whenever i got a call my phone rings for only one time.
when i asked my friends they told that its becoz that yu have selected the ringtones which do have format mp3.Is it true...

thanks sarit!!! I bought this fone!I must say that u are right!it's awsome:D..the sound it's THE BEST!!! i uploaded 20 mp3's and i still have a lot of memory left:))...SE you're great!..i luv my w550!....thanks again sarit!

thanks sarit! i appreciate what you have said. i'm still a college student that's why i don't have money to buy a new walkman phone. i'll be using my old phone for now (a very boring Nokia 6210).
i do not know if you can locate a phone via its IMEI code. but a phone can be blocked by presenting its IMEI code to a telecom service support center (here in the philippines, it is the National Telecommunications Commission) so that when anyone gets the phone, he/she cannot use it anymore.

sorry to hear from u that u have lost it. It is really an excellent creation from SE. Anyway, which fone will u buy then? I think W800i. It is very unfortunate that still now there is no clear and organised process to track the lost fone. However, i once heard that the lost fones can be located with the IMEI number, though I am not sure and I personally dont believe this.

unfortunately, my w550 lost today after my school. i didn't know where i got it lost. i will truly miss it! no other phones can compare to it. a full-featured phone at a price of a mid-featured phone.

If someone has bigger fingers then he/she may feel a little bit uncomfortable with the keypad(particularly for the keys just under the screen)...but overall the keypad is not at all uncomfortable. I can write msg very fast in this fone...and the 4-way joystick with 'centre-select' button is very smooth to handle.The backlighting(orange) is soothing too.In case of msg-ing, T9 can be turned off very easily (for local language sms) and when writing texts, the cursor moves blazing fast.I want to mention one thing regarding sms, u can't create seperate folders to store msgs. The received msgs can be firstly stored in "Saved Msgs" folder, but it uses the SIM card memory so the capacity is very limited. Apart from that u can store ur desired msgs as "Templates" and as this uses fone memory so there is vast space here.
Camera: W550i has 1.3MP camera. U can take nice shots in the daylight and there are many options to customise ur pics before taking the shot, even u can chage the shutter sound. There are many effects to use like "Sepia", "Black&White" etc. U can zoom also if u have selected a smaller 'size' of photo. But I must say, taking pictures at night does not always give good results.U can select the in built 'Light' (it is really strong) and can tweak the "White Balancing" settings, but still the snaps taken are not of good quality.But I must inform you as the screen is of 262K color, u can still view the pics better than other 1.3MP category like N3230.
Video Recording: I havn't faced any issue here. After selecting camera, u can switch to Video shooting mode. Racording time lasts until the memory is fully exhausted. I personally didn't download any music video but if it is in '.3gp' format, then u can view anykind of videos. And "www.ovao.com" is a vast repository of different types of videos.
The fone is amazing fast !! I copied my my 193 contacts from my SIM card to the fone memory and it only took 4-5 seconds, I had N3230 also a few months back, and the same action took near about 48-50 seconds.
The supplied 'Ear-Buds' with this fone is another attraction. It gives excellent sounds keeping balance of low and high frequency sounds.U can select 'equalizer' settings from the preloaded presets (normal, bass, mega-bass etc) or can change it manually. The 'ear-buds' also set into ears tightly. Listenening to music is the most valuable experience in W550i (Sony is there, mind it). Even the radio sounds much better, accurate and louder than N3230.
Another thing which is supplied is the USB Connectivity Cable for PC connection (USB2.0). And believe me, this piece is excellent. The software takes a little more time to get installed, but after that it works surprisingly fast. It makes a 'phone drive' in the HDD and u just simply do "copy-paste" paste thing....and bingo!!! This USB Cable even performs much-more faster than my Bluetooth Dongle.
I really don't have any idea that whether downloading new 'firmware' will take more space or not but i'm sure that if it takes then it will take some extra Kbs and apart from that the 'white screen' problem wil be solved.
Just buy it without any hesitation bcoz the fones of this 'Walkman' series of SE all are of very good quality....and among them W5550i is a real eye-candy, feature reach strong performer...it is the fastest fone I have seen in my life....

well 1st of all i must say the funky look of the set.next u can access the fone very quickly.no opening folder no closing folder nothing.just press the ok bottom and the folder open.third is the sound.for sound i ve nothing 2 say.simply great loud and clear.u can feel every beat of a song.i still dont have the set.i ve seen the set in my brother sarit's hand.and i ve decided 2 buy the set anyone who have a passion on cellphone must try the set.it rocks

seriously, u all so right about this phone. superb, no phone can compare to this phone. i bought this phone for my fiance, and i really feel glad coz i gave her the best phone i could afford for now.

if u want to buy a fone for it's design-buy lg chocolate-....but if u want a fone for it's features-buy w550-..

please be noted that w550 has 2 speakers only. but what's amazing with its 2 speakers is that they produce stereo output (2-channel) that's why the sound is distributed more evenly not like other phones which have 1 speaker producing a mono output (it is just like a hifi stereo component system compared to the better 5.1 home theater system).

besides w550, i really want w800. here in the philippines, it costs around USD300 (with 1 year service warranty; network unlocked). but you can still wait for w850 (3G) and w710 (GSM; 512MB M2 expansion). :-)
