Can we really find a "perfect fone"? Possibly not coz every cellfone has its own pros and cons.
Also some people are complaining about tiny storage space, but believe me, 256MB is massive to store. Not a single company is going to offer all excellent features into a single fone coz that will simply hamper the overall market demand of other products of the same company. Also we should judge a fone's feature not ignoring its price. W800i surely gives some additional features(like 2mp camera, 512MB memory supplied etc) but it also costs more.
I bought this fone on 7th June'06 from my local market and I have already loaded 22 MP3 songs, 88 general wallpapers, 11 still camera shots, 14 videos, 3 softwares, 7 games and still 108MB is unused! Now consider every MP3 with a size of 5MB, and then I can still store additional 21MP3s. At a certtain point of time, near about 40-50MP3s are sufficient I think coz there is every opportunity to delete the existing and store new songs.
No white screen issue, my software's firmware version is "CXC 1250031 R4CB020 000000"...(import month May, 2006). Those who are using older versions just activate ur GPRS by contacting ur network operator and download the latest version (there is a organised provision in the 'setttings' menu) from SE's website.
This is an excellent fone, trust me....
Those who want a detail review of W550i before buying it can visit "www.mobique.com" coz the reviewer covered almost every aspect.
And i agree with Miguel, "www.lasyk.com" is a huge source of this fones's downloads especially for themes...many of them are superb.Also to test ur Java environment of your fone, install "JBenchmark2" from the "www.jbenchmark.com"...
Any guy using this fone and want some games/softwares/themes/wallpapers for customozing...can feel free to tell me, I will try to help.....
again, W550i rocks!!!! I have a passion for it........SWIEVEL WALKMAN ROCKS!!!...This is one fone u should have......TRUST ME...

i have this phone for over 8 months and dont have any problems with it. love this phone, it looks good and works perfectly.great music quality

omd fanelu dats exactly like me im only 14 and im the 1 hu posted that last review ! the good phones are too expensive but i think out of k750i and w550i - the w550i is better because its walkman and it doesnt have a joystick which will break easily so i'v heard ! and apparently k750i has rubbish media player

right i need serious help. im sooo confused i dont know which phone to buy!! problem is in all of my options, theres a problem in each phone which is really frustrating because i cant seem to find the perfect phoneeee :'(!
right my options are -
w550i - no external memory slot , not excellent camera vision and may include white screening funtion however excellent speakers and games and design.
k750i - not walkman brand , crap media player and crap speakers crap joystick, good camera vision and exteranl memory.
w810i - drop call problem , low battery life , too expensive 4 me as im young but good memory space and excellent camera vision.
w900i - da screws for the swivel action can get loose as its not manual swivel but probly the best phone out of this whole selection but the most expensive which i can not afford seeing as i dont work :(
SOMEONE PLEASE HELPP ME :(

Its an amazing phone i m using it since october 2005. This phone disappoints you cause it doesnt contain external phone memory card. I ve not faced the problem of battery so far. It gives you a style statement. I ll definitely suggest you that u shld go for this phone.

hi everyone.
well i bought this mobile 3 months back,after using this mobile for 1st month
my phone hanged up(white screen problem).I sent this mobile to service centre and after
few days I got my mobile back. Well at the moment it workin properly and i am satisfied with it.
Can anyone tell me why it cant suport wave files and few others video files?

i m using this handset frm last two months,it is good handset but battery back is poor, it just work for 1 day.
and one thing i want to ask that i knw that there is no card slot it has inbit memory of 256mb but i have heard that i can extend the memory through company, so i want an answer frm u either on my e-mail address or on my mobile number 9910122728

there is no provision for securing ur confidential sms. the code memo is trash. i miss my nokia smsguard any similar application for this phone

it can store approximately 70 songs (128kbps MP3, 44100kHz). you can compress mp3 songs so that your w550 can store more. but compressing reduces the sound quality of mp3 files.

-i haven't tried downloading themes from www.zedge.net. i am used to download themes from myw550.lasyk.net. the website provides safe themes (themes are tested before they are submitted to the download pages).
-downloading java apps (such as Opera 2.0) brings white screen problem on w550s with the oldest software version (R4AB048). other software versions can withhold java apps. BUT PLEASE DOWNLOAD JAVA APPS FROM POPULAR, RELIABLE DEVELOPERS (such as Opera which is well-known for their fast browsers for PC and phone).

hi all!!hey ppl,dnt put nonsense in ur 4ne thats y white screen problem happens.its a great phone with many features which others dnt have(even NOKIA!!),sound great.camera not bad,al night its a bit annoying 2 use but if u can find necessary light it will be ok.
all i can say,its a great phone worth da price!!!
