Got my SE 550i for almost 2 months by now. Other than the standard issues and good things, I would like to share my finding on those very minor areas for this phone. If anyone else facing the same and able to solve it, let me know ya? ;)
So far, my phone did crash for once with any known reason. After restart, it deleted all my themes, games, application and ringtones but pictures (wallpaper) still stay on. After that, now everything seem like performing normally after I done a "Master Reset".
If switch to camera mode or walkman mode and then back to the main menu screen, I notice that if press on the left "soft" key, the lower portion of the screen will flicker when using normal theme. If using the given "BreaK Beat" or "Club Pulse" themes which are different format from the standard theme, this won't happen.
Something using the "Notes", the content didn't display. If reboot the phone, then it back to normal. Anyhow, I still don't know how to simulate this issue again. This also same for the sound volume. Sometime, it just go very soft with any known reason. After reboot the phone, then will back to normal. Luckily, I only faced these 2 issues once.
Something extra good thing if anyone like me, always like to change theme, you can download and install (mostly) theme made for SE 750i which you can find it free on the net and a lot of them. As far I notice that, SE750i, SE800i, SE550i able to same the same theme.
The current firmware I am using now is R4AB048, anyone knows if the new firmware is available? :)

Bought this phone last week. It's has great sound and display. Good battery life too.
Too bad for the memory space and also the network provider name can't be remove.
Any of u guys have recommandation which freeware to use for coverting video to 3gp format? Thanks

hi.
the phone(walkman) is roxxx. absolutely impressing. the only problem is memory. I heard you can double the memory size of the K750 and w800. what about w550 and p910. i have these both, please sbd help me. thanks

did u make a new folder to the fon using the computer??...means when u use ur usb...then in the computer...u use ur pc to make a new folder using ur fon??

btw, anyone who encounter the prob which is the files, no matter mp3,pic or videos in ur phone will suddenly disappear?
i took some picture and i cant find it anymore even connect thru usb cable.
It is like totally lost and i cant get it back.
After i reformat the phone. The prob started again.

Hi All
I have had this phone now since Xmas and its has been performing real nice and enjoy all the features.There are some things that i dont like cause i had a D500 previously where once could record hours of video footage but on this one you are able just to record a few seconds. I have found to problems with the phone so far that irrates me. First one is for some reason i cant forward sms's to another number it tell me the message contains too many characters, it does matter how short or long the message is. The other one is when i have finished a call there is no-where one can see how long i was on that call. Any of you guys know if there is fix for this??? I am thinking of maybe taking it back the shop and getting a software upgrade if that is what is neccessary to sort the problem. Any ideas/suggestions???

Gemma and gobo, if you are looking for a 'very good' camera, then there are better products out there. But if you are looking for an all-in-one entertainment gadget that can make/receive calls and also click pictures/videos, then you should not spare a thought for any other phone.

Forgot to mention, the phone supports mp4 and 3gp videos. And the camera interface works like a cybershot camera. Cool.

I just got this phone for a few days and im really impressed with it! Excellent screen, superb speakers and decend battery life. Its a real head turner. For me, the 256mb is more than enough to store a bunch of songs, music videos, themes and games. The camera quality is just average, but the other features are fantastic. Definitely worth its price tag!

hey, ive had this phone for about 2 months but sometimes it restarts on its own....does anybody know what kind of videos you can upload on this phone through your computer? Is it possible to play music videos on it?

hey undecided gal!i guess u shud buy this fone coz 256 mb is alot of memory,50 mb will go for ur internal stuff like contact and msgs or maybe less than that so ull have more 156 mb of memory left its too much, beside the mem,the fone rocks,the fone is a walkman,nice cam,bluetooth,infra,videodj,and many other stuff,and games rock.....!buy this fone...

Hi Gemma! You can just get the songs from your computer.. Just make sure they are on mp3 format..

Yes you can ricky..
One important thing I noticed about this phone is that you should not create a "new folder" during file transfer to/from your PC as this will cause errors on probably some of your stored videos or pictures.. But a solution to this is to just create the "new folder" on the phone itself not during transfer..
Anybody else who experienced this?
