I'm really interested in this phone. I like the functions & the appearance, but I'm really bothered by the limited memory space. Is that a major problem?? Should i jus ignore this prob & get the phone? Pls advise.

Hi i was wondering with the music thing do you have to get the music from a CD? Or can you just put it on from the computer? Please reply.

it looks gr8 and it roxx, especially the stereo speakers are somethin' special for a phone at this size.
i think those who have this telephone must be proud of it

ivethis phone is amazing..u can even set an mp3 as an sms tone as well which i didnt knew when i first bought this phone a week ago..plus the auto update feature is very kool.. i ve done it as well & on my gprs connection it just cost me .9 dollars.. much much better than going to sum service centre ... hey just one issue i have seen so far.. it some times didnt show sum pictures.... which i can see in the phone in thumbnail prebiew.. n being a techie myself.. its strange that it shows high resolution images but misses on relatively small res images.. dunno why..any1 has some idea?????

Ordered this phone as my new upgrade from o2 renewal contract, got an extra 50% of calls and txts and the operator explained to me all about the W550i, its a good phone and proberly the best sony ericsson phone built so far. Cant wait till it arrives!

Yes Jesse you can set MP3 as a ringtone.

No you can't expand the memory. it's fixed with 256MB. But still you can store around 60mp3's.. I think that is sufficient enough if you always change the song.

Jes got hold to 1 of em {w550i}.So far no real complaints.......awesome fone......esp 4 music fanatics......absulutely nothing wrong abt this cell........Sony ericsson is oll set to prove its dominence over Nokia

Im Planning to get a cell phone and my preferences is left hanging between SE w550i and Nokia.Now the reason am worried is bcoz of the forum mentioning abt d malfunctions,in short,somebody kind enough to let me know if worth paying USD 325and owning se w550i,ASAP

I needed a new phone, and was going to get either Razr V3 Pink, or the W550i. I was worried about buying this phone after reading reviews about how fat the phone is, and i love tiny ones like the Panasonic G51. But i got it, and to my surprise, its not much bigger than my G51! Its really easy to use, the sound is great, fits nicely into your hand, and has enough memory to keep me entertained. This is a really good phone for people who want a phone with a decent camera, MP3's and other features along with good looks.

hi.i bouth the phone yesterday,and i'm very satisfied with it.very good sound quality...very cool gams,and the memory is almoust enoth.a singl problem: my ears hearts,because o the design of the heads,i don't now is they are very healthy...anyway...u can replace them;)

yo...i used this phone for 1 month and no problem had occured as far as i know...the battery lasts VERY long to those ppl who thinks the opposite...the sound quality ROXX...and the functions are nice and simple...camera is not bad just the ONLY downside is the memory :(...

i had planned to buy a SE W550 model, but on some articals on the net i had read some topics related to malfunctioning of 550 ,some very bad experiences regarding 550 with some users, so thats why i want to know whether its safe to buy it or i should try to pick smthng else???
plz help me i am very much confused !!!!
also can u tell me waht difference is their between W550 and W600 models????

the fone is greatfor all reasons but i have not used it for 2wks.this b'cos it freezes and vibrates and wont go off when i try to shut it down.i have to take out the battery to reboot again.last straw was when it just went off for no reason an hasn't worked ever since.what is wrong with my phone?

Try to bring your phone to Sony Ericsson center and tell your problem. Your battery life is absolutely abnormal.
I listen mp3s about 2 hours, use it for 3-4 hours of messaging (yes i'm a heavy text messenger, and to me the keypad is OK.), make about 30 minutes calls each day, and and the phone can still make around 2-2,5 days.
