hi i buy w580i and i have a problem of cracking of keys in it

Bought the phone and had to return it 2 wks later as it kept getting extremely hot when on a call even if it was jut for 2 mins plus it kept shutting off by itself. The phone only looks good but doesn't seem sturdy. Would recommend the W810i over this one, same software and features almost but W810i is better.

The speaker is good,the cam is good,and it is user friendly..But what about the software? Mine switches off automatically. The problem has been persistant now for 2 months. Anyone else with the same problem???

i dont think this phone worth buying.....i m having this phone for now 3 months and i m a bit disapointed with sony..
this phone is really gud looking but not working ....its software is not powerful enough to support the phones functions.
my phone hangs a lot and one is cracked too .....sometimes phone goes silent and sumtimes didnt allows me to answr my phone it just switch off autometically....and its not a permanent prob. so tht i can replace my cell..
i wont suggst u this phone...its a piece of junk

Well 'kerry',, i think if u did have this fone, u would c it does have the shake feature! just to prove it i'll tell you how : you hold in the walkman button and then shake! so you get your facts right before you go leavin a comment!

hi there i bought the sony ericcson w580 about three months ago and it seems like the phone is falling apart.the top buttons are stuck,the keypad is breaking backcover just fell off.wanted to send it in for repair and they said it was customer abuse.its the first time that i would say sony ericsson sucks.

To the no name just below me, I don't think you have this phone because if you did, you would know that it doesn't have the shake function. It is the W910 that has the shake function. So get your facts right before you post on here before a person that really wants this phone reads this

I bought this phone 2 days ago. I feel good to have this phone. All I can say about this phone are : 1. Good screen with good resolution pixels. 2. Not bad camera but less autofocus, no flash light and no zoom for 1mp and 2mp picture. 3. Quite loud speaker with clear sound but some songs playing in highest volume, the sound will break. 4. Good headset, but I think this walkman software is not good enough, megabass is bad. SE K610i has better media player with greater sound and louder speaker. 5. This phone has good enough browser but when downloading file for example mp3, 3gp, it is so slow. I prefer my SE z530i's browser although its screen smaller and bad screen resolution but it's so fast. Overall I like this phone because it looks good. For you all, if you want to buy a great looks phone, this phone can be your choice. But if you want a phone with loud sound of speaker, go for another phone.

I bought the phone in Jamuary..And I think its Perfect for words,the sound is great,the quality of the pictures is amazing...I LOOOVVVEEE it.

Hi, I'm back with a new review.
I've had this phone since the start of October 2007, and the phone looks brand-new. I've even dropped it several times on the floor, and there isn't any scratch on it. I'm definitely proud of it, for now I don't have any reason to criticise the phone.
I've sent nearly 160 messages, the keypad is OK. Not a single scratch, and the sliding mechanism is OK by now. The battery lasts normally, as I've left the radio on for 2 nights, and there was still a 10% left.
The only bad thing I can complain is the fust which gathers really quickly is the sliding mechanism. But with a regular clean at one week, you'll have no problems.
I strongly recommend this phone to all of you who are looking for a stylish, unique, music phone.

w580i is simply useless...dont go on its look or its shake function...the reason behind is that it has no battery timing and the keypad also cracks....
