i'm usually a huge fan of sony ericsson's and pink so was over the moon when i got the w580 in pink. my happines was short lived though. im a big texter and after a couple of weeks 4 of the buttons cracked.then to my horror the screen completely messed up after sliding from my knee to the floor. i cant use the phone now and i'm really disappointed how weak the screen is :o(

im shocked!!!!!!!I bought it 3 weeks ego,,but now one of it's keyes is broken.it's keyboard is so weak!!!

I sell mobile phones.half people i sold W580i to,came back after 2-3 weeks with cracked buttons!that is considered "bad usage"so it's out of warranty!!

After SIX months of use, excessive use, my phone is still in GREAT condition. I am actually ancious for my key pad to crack so I can change the color of my phone. BUT NO CRACKING! NO NO NO Cracked keys.
I think that this IS the best Phone Ever Made, it is simple compared to the over stuffed lackluster features of other cellphone makers. For all the horror stories posted here, I must admit, I feel bad because, I enjoy my W580 way too much! Not only is it a great device but it turns heads constantly, especially since its availiability is nonexsistent where I live...

can anyone tell me what causes the phone's keypad to crack? i just bought one week plus ago, mine ady crack a lil bit.. SHould i take it back to da shop? I scared when my phone come back from factory, my phone will scratch alot, u know, factory, they might repair recklessly...

I've had this since it first came out in November, battery life is fine for me (I talked for 3 hours last night from 90% charged or so, and it still read 62% after I was done)...take it back to the shop and complain about the battery

av had this phone 4 bout 3 days, nd i luv it! I find putting music on it easy, and working the mp3 easy 2.
WARNING; DONT USE, THE SHAKE OPTION, ON MP3, 2 CHANGE SONGS. bout 4 of me m8s used it nd ther phone broke in few weeks, so jst dont n u'll be fine xx

I sould have listened to those who nagged of keys craking, key no. 2 cracked after just 1 mounth :(.. and I use my finger not my nail!

I work for best buy and we have this phone out for display so that people can play with it. It's been out on display for months and the with people touching it all the time every single day, the keypad is still in good condition. I guess it just depends on how often you use it and how hard you press.

got this phone a few days back. its a major upgrade from my previous samsung (some series).
good:
camera works well under bright areas.
speaker is loud enough.
display is very clear.
sliding mechanism is good.
bad:
camera does not work well in dark/dim areas.
the sound quality from the handsfree is rather disappointing.
battery drains rather quickly even if on standby mode.
a side note. for those who were complaining about the cracking keypads, yes it is true. the salesgirl told me to be careful with it, and advised me not to use your fingernails to key. other then that, this phone is great!
