Had this phone a few months now, I've posted previous reviews on this site expressing my initial delight and then my disappointment. Since the last note, I've taken the phone back to carphone warehouse for repairs - 3 keys cracked, and the memory card wiped itself once or twice.
Had it back a few weeks, new keys still intact, not using the music player currently as got a new mp3 player to play with :-)..., and reloading mp3 files onto the card in the unit is SO slow.
If I could turn back time, probably wouldn't have bought this phone, but have gone for something older n bigger that's had all its bugs sorted out, like the k800. On those occasions I need a slim phone to slip into a dinner jacket or top pocket, I'd have got one of those throwaway cheap (£10!) slim motorolas.

I have to say that I just got mine and this phone is really good...the camera could be better but thinking of it, it is a Walkman phone not a Cybershot phone and the sound is excellent so it acomplish it goal, about the keypad I hope not to have any problems with it, you only have to know how to use your phone, if you use your nails to press the keys you will have problems, instead of that try to use your fingers and your phone will last longer, if any problems I'll write again...

I went into a big named phone shop yesterday having my heart set on buying this phone, one of the staff came upto me and told me that they could not recommend them as they'd had loads of people bringing them back as they kept turning themselves off, had problems with keypads, problems with the screens and a couple of other things, I was very suprised, but she said they had to warn people who wanted to buy them, so I think I'll be looking for another phone. I'm gutted!

I've ad this phone for 3 months now, no problem with the keypads what so ever and i text quite alot! Everything on this phone works pretty good or perfect. Downfall would be the camera but it takes really good pictures when theres good light. Also one more problem is the paint chipping off aroudn the speaker area (especially the black ring around it). If you have nails it might tend the scratch off some paint, but thats not for eevryone so theres nothing to really worry about.

I bought my w580 through rogers... Love it
i got the black one, Ive never gotten the crack thing tho... The batt isnt as good, last a couple days .. it be like 6 o clock and my phone would give me a bunch of low batterie sounds...I do listen to music and use my phone heavily... mine came with sick games, def. the best phone ive ever had for games. the speaker is in the pad.. txt is ok could be better ... the only flaw I really noticed... the lack of the camera button... you dont get to hold it on its side to take a pic

i want to get a new phone, but i'm not too fussed about too many features... my current phone is w800i, i like the look and comments on this phone... but i read that it has no calendar, is that true?

umm... actually, the shake feature is for people who run/jog so they dont have to look at the phone to go to the next one...

i think is stupid to press a botton and shake it to change a song, why you only press a botton and shange the song

I had been using this phone for the passed 2 months and it serves me well. For those ppl who're havin their batt life's problem, do step into SE customer service centre and change ur batt bcos i had been facing that problem as well. No problem after replaced with new ones.
Another thing is that my keypad sound will "explode" suddenly when i click or sending msgs. As well as shut down automatically when i browse my picture or videos. Technically, they said it was the software problem. But i failed to upgrade due to not manage to do any backup on my phone. But still okey.
For those of u who're having cracking keypads. DO NOT use ur nail to press on the keypads. USE UR FINGER PLS!!!
