lmao as soon as a rad this i looked at my key pad and sure enough my number 4 and 2 button where CRACKED!!!!

TyTN thanks for the description :) it looks cool. i cant wait to try out in the W580.
im actually just waiting for a while so that maybe SE can resolve the keypad problem. I think this phone is great and looks cool too :D

Yes, you can use the camera in landscape mode.
It works like this:
-choose landscape mode
-take one photo and when taking the second you can see the edge (transparent) of the first one
-line it with the scenery for the second photo and
-take another photo
-repeat the process to take the third and last one
---now you have three photos in one, a landscape photo :))
about the mp3 ringtone:
of course you can use your own mp3s as ringtones. But it seems that a/some provider(s) messed up and locked it. That's why I hate locked/branded phones. It will be OK if you get an unlocked one.

You'll have fun with the panorama shots, I'm sure. Not only because you can show a wider angle, but also because you can combine different things in one photo. It's up to your imagination, really. :)

i email an SE representative and they told me that a 4GB M2 card works just fine. and i think someone here has already been using it with no problem. so dont worry about the memory card size guys. the only thing now is the keypad. if they fix it, i m sure to buy it..

I have had my w580i for 3 weeks now, and as much as i love the desing and the music, it has been a problem since the first day, it is plagued with software problems, and my button has just this minute cracked, rather worried as i work for a mobile retailer and have sold a lot of these. Frome experience if this does happne to you it's worth waiting a few weeks more before putting it in for repair, unless it's with in it's 28 day refund and exchange period, as more than likely SE have already dispatched or are working on improved buttons for repair centers to replace the cracked ones. Real big shame, love the phone other wise.

it will brake again, i asked SE and they just sad, you have to send it in! Im a mobileseller in norway, and my costumers arnt that happy with sending it in after a week!! im now on my THIRD w580-..just for testing..lets see how this one goes ...

hi i am in uk and just got the white w580i on o2 pay and go well firstly dont go by the pics of this mob its not really white its more silver keys are ok sony say new models are now fixed no flash is not a prob 4 me as i dont use cam much odd thing i found was u cant zoom on camera in normal mode only panaramic...will post undate are try it out 4 a few days any uk questions ..durhamdad@spankthedonkey.com

well, i think the keyboard crack problem happens because people use their nails to poke it

about the panorama shot:
even my very old SE K700i could take panorama shots.
It was great, even for a vga camera (that was the most advanced one when it came out, as you probably remember).
With a 2mp cam, wow!! LOL

can anyone tell me even when the keypad cracked, can u still press it without any major prob or the keypad will fall apart or anything???
