is the keypads is really bad??
but got ppl said tat the new w580 have no problem is it?? pls answer my question... i really like this phone.. but dunno is it a good choice??i really like music phone..PLZ ANYONE ANSWER ME...THX=)

i bought da phone less than a ear.n has gone thrice for da repairing to da company.so i suggest every1 nt 2 by dis cel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if SE already switched manufacturers (which we can't say for sure), the damage is done. How can i be sure that the one im buying today will not have the same problems? Been planning to buy, i'm still not decided which one. Still using my good old K510. But so far, as most user opinions i have read, current SE phones always has some issues. Very disappointing.

i really want to buy the pink sony ericsson 580i but i text all the time.would the keypads crack or not?What about the battery life? im always on my phone! Can someone really tell me please.Thank you!

my m8 had this phone but she always throws hers and the screen has gon a bit dogey and it has deleated all of her song haha

Had new W580 phone for less than a week when the keys started to crack. Keys cracked down the middle while texting. What a shame, it's a nice phone.

Sony has apparently switched manufacturers for this phone. If you have a red one the keypad should be okay. Other colours - you need to check the manufacturing date - anything after February 2008 should be okay - before that the keypad was prone to cracking - right down the middle.
I agree it has a charging issue - I have to charge mine every 2 days and I'm not a heavy cell user. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using the walkman feature or not. Also - I couldn't use a belt case with a magnetic closure - it would automatically send a busy signal.
Other than that it is the best phone I've had and the most fun. I love it.

I bought this phone for less than 1 year & the key pad has started to crack.
Keypad is a total failure.

I got this phone for free @ best buy thru my service provider (ATT) in the states. Good color selections. I had the pink one. I've read previous reviews about how the keys would start cracking after about a month of usage. I was thinking, what? How can keys cracked? I was wrong! I'm not an extreme texter but I text pretty often. On the 28th day after getting the phone, I noticed small cracks in the middle of the keys (6 and 4), after one more day, 2 started cracking. Other than the keys cracking, it's a pretty good phone. The light effects are cool. Of course the phone is still usable even the keys cracked, but if ur a perfectionist like me, I think you should think twice about getting this phone.

its a good phone... i had mine for 5 mos now the only problem ive encoutered is it's keypad.. it cracked.. im a heavy texter maybe that's why... the music player is really good too.. pic quality is average but not bad... battery life is average too..

the battery life on this phone is rubish i just charged it 100% and by the past hour i only had 19% left on my fone and i didnt touch it :[ . Sony ericsson Should MAKE the battery life the same is a samsung.........

You can customize your quick links to get to the things you use most often faster. It is better than most other phones I have used for texting. I use the headphones to listen to the FM radio at work and have lots of my personal music on the Micro SD card. You can have some fun composing your own ringtones, too! I love this phone. By the way, it's not too fragile like a lot of the other comments state. I am pretty clumsy so I bought a carrying case so it wouldn't fall out of my pocket and hit pavement. I have dropped it on carpet quite a few times without harming it. Great phone!

don't even dream of buying this mobile... its pathetic..m not for sony ericson anymore!!! bcoz of this mobile...i gave it for service several times..battery life is also bad.. mother board was replaced..still it was not functioning properly..i regret for havin bought this one :( :(..except for looks there is nothing in this mobile.. its very fragile.. now i ve switched to motorola ..its way better..
