I have had this phone for about 3 months. and I loved it until it started shutting off by itself and literally falling apart. Oh and not to mention the out-of-the-blue screen malfuntions...the features are great and the phone was a head turner but I had to call it quits, and upgrade to a Nokia N95 8GB. I hope this phone will work out better. I'm really going to miss my shake to turn feature.

hey,i have had this pohone for 4 months now, one butten has cracked but i can still use it. i love the phone exept that it has the worst signal ever. i can never phone or sms expet in some places.
then i checked and it was not my sim.
so the phone is just great but the signal is annoying.

heyy wats up?ok i need some serious help i heard good and bad coments about the sony ericsson 580i but i need to know the truth cuz i want to get one soo wat should i do? how is the battery life?thanx soo much 4 helping me!

the phone is ok but not solid built. buttons feel cheap and sometimes the phone unlocks itself in my pocket. software responds slow. a lot of noise and connection problems also make this phone unreliable.

I love the phone itself but I'm afraid like so many others I've had problems with it. The buttons all cracked and NO! I wasn't careless with it, I'm very careful with my phone with not as much as a scratch on the screen. It also had a screen freeze then crashed and wouldn't turn on again. Thankfully Sony replaced it under warranty. On speaking to others, I know of at least 5 people who have had similar problems. I suspect its a w580i problem which needs resolved!

The keypad cracks after a while:( but anything else about this phon is amaizing,u'll love it!

Well ive had this phone 8 months and it has been broke 3 times first time it was cracked buttons and pads at top fell off. second time buttons wouldnt push so i couldnt navigate or text. Third time screen went dead .Dont buy phone its utter rubbish

after 9 months of using this phone, my first keypad button cracked. and i text almost everyday. =(
otherwise, the rest of the phone is pretty good. i'm satisfied with the rest of the phone.

If you want Sony, wait for the C905, out in a few months. If you want amazing, get the HTC Touch HD.

I had this phone for a few months... and I'm a major text messaging wacko. I love the features on the phone and I can blast the music while doing... whatever... anyways, the buttons started cracking on me... like one by one... all of them! and the screen just stopped working so eventually, the screen was useless... I was still able to use the phone bc i loved some of the features so much I remember where they were even though i couldnt see... so if the cracking buttons and screen could be fixed.. that'll be cool... k =]

the phone is nice and has a bad keypad which cracks ...so beware........and it lacks an OS 4 d price.......d camera is also not up to the mark..........shake feature is a waste so dont buy dis phone only bcoz of dat feature!!........

I have a k850i which has been fine unlike many other owners ones, but I want a thinner phone, nice size screen, camera not important spec wise and must have a light/flash. Loudspeaker. Always liked s.e phones and their long battery life. Any suggestions?

To Ames. There is more than enough information about this phone here if you read thru the postings. But anyway, I've had this phone for about 7 months now and I think it's a nice phone but it has one problem - the keypad is cheaply made and no matter how careful you are with it,it will crack eventually. I have two cracked keys so far, but they say the new ones don't have this problem but I don't know. Anyway, I don't think it's a big problem because it's a slider phone and the keys are hidden. The best thing about this phone is its sound. The music is loud and clear. It also looks very nice and sleek and it has lots of light colors but don't have good ring tones though. Also, the camera isn't the best one out there. Over all, it's a good phone especially if you like music but u need to treat it carefully because it's not the toughest phone out there.

It is a gud phone but no flash.The keys may cracked during it is used.as compared the price of the phone it isn't expensive.

i sent this phone in for repair 3 times in less than8 months with broken keys the fixed the keys then less than 2 months the up down button quit working they fixed that then on july 29th i sent it back again after 4 weeks i started to get upset i sent a complaint to the bbb and todaysept 11 2008 i received my phone back with a note saying my phone had been wet and they would not fix my phone i called sony and they said it had gotten wet but the indicater on the back was still white (it is suppose to be red if it got wet) sony said it was on the inside under all the parts so they was not going to help me how many time have they received a phone 3 times and all of a sudden that phone got wet that way they dont have to replace the phone it a piece of junk

This is my 3rd phone now of this model after repeatedly sending it back.
Problem:
1st handset - lasted 1 day then crashed and wouldnt come on
2nd handset - the hash key stopped working (this is the one used to put spaces in your text)
3rd handset - speaker on the earpiece on the handset does not work
I definately do not want another one of these phones
