The phone is really good. Downside it does not have a flash so forget those nights out pics. Major thing: the keypad buttons crack one by one. The actual button splits in two. I have had mine repaired twice. This time i really want something done about it as i do look after my phones.

580 is really good, considering to upgrade, only thing is... no light? Flashlight is one of the best features of my phone! maaaaaan....
PS- Tell your friend in Sony I want a W61S for the rest of the world :P

I need to think about the battery life everytime I touch the phone, listen to music etc. what the F is wrong with the battery???

really bad phone. buttons crack, turns itself off, buttons fall off and then its knackered

U have to agree with me Sony Erickson rocks. I just replaced my w750i with this phone days ago but i just love everything about it.I have no problem with any of the Sony Erickson models.

John, 29 Aug 2008hi pl someone guide which walkman phone shall i buy.iam sca... morethere are a lot of models,, if you like slider go for the w850i sure its a year old but it is a reliable phone, but if you want the latest slider and durable go for the w910 it got all the latest w phone software,, but for durability the w850 wud be a great choice,,

great phone....... sony ericsson rocks man...i think it is the perfect phone 4 those who loves loud music ...camera quality is awesome .... i bought it 1 week ago of 9800 .... suits my style also.... but only one problem ...thats battery backup

My friend works in sony. He said that the first two series of w580 had the cracking key problem but now that's fixed.

I've used this type for only a month, but something's wrong with it. Whenever I charge the phone, instead of the battery being full, it is even decreased. So, I showed it to the shop I bought it from for even thrice or four times, but they also can't find any fault with the phone. I have also changed the new battery as they said so, but in vain. The only way I can charge it is connection with the pc. While being charged with the pc, I can't use the phone and it always takes ages. In fact, the charging time is more than the time I use it. So, what can I do? Plz give me some advice as soon as possible.

this phone is good, classy. but i dont recommend u guys buying this phone. the battery last for 1 day. the keypads do crack

hey guys i was about to buy w580i.bt just 2bmore clear i searched in web. on seeing the comments that users have posted with regard to the bad experiences, i hav decided not to go with it.
