Desperate...if you text often enough and the keypad bothers you that much, I guess you're better choose w850i, personally, I think w610i is better (i don't like sliding phone) but it's a personal choice..oh, by the way, w850i doesn't have autofocus...if that matters to you, I'm a satisfied owner of this phone (w610i) and I txt a lot...i mean..a lot ;)

Hi i am using SE W610 atm. It has all the good function and is light..basically it has everything except the key pad. It's too small..I texted quite a lot so i find it quite uncomfortable when texting but i like all the function and everything. Now i'm stuck trying to decide whether i should stick to this phone or opt for SE W850i..
Can anyone advise?? Please...

W610 utilizes M2(memory stick micro) cards and the maximum capacity of those cards toped-up at a whooping 4Gb. but imho, using 2Gb M2 is already enough for your W610=D. for as far as i know this W610 uses same processor as K800(220Mhz) and K800 can accomodate 4Gb cards without issues like lags and hangs while the hardware features of it requires more processing power and bear in mind that W610 processing algorithm on data i.e. interface is faster due to the fact that the display is smaller and so on so if K800 accomodates that capacity i'm pretty sure W610 could also do it nice;)

is it Memory Stick Duo Pro (up to 4GB)?

if we do some analysis, W610 has 3.8mm focal length while W810 has 4.8mm one. if we saw P1 pictures, i can easily say that it's sharpness is at par at K800's though P1 has 4.8mm focal length same as the 2mp phone K750,W810,W800,W900... while K800 has 5.2mm focal length. so i dont think 3.8mm focal length makes so much difference and inferiority than W810 does.

Hi…
let me answer a few questions :)
it supports video ringtones, just go to the desired video that you want to set as a ringtone, select “more”, select “use as”, choose between “Ringtone” or “contact ringtone”
comparing the 2 models (correct me if I'm wrong):
W610i = TFD screen, 2.25x digital zoom… have flight mode, supports Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) –which I like, RSS feeds, Track ID, picture blogging, GPRS… no video streaming
W810i = TFT screen, 4x digital zoom… opposite of the above features of W610i
W610i can’t zoom on 2 & 1 Megapixel, only at VGA…

Does it really support video ringtones? If so, how do u set it? Is it possible in W810i?
Note: I had a W550i for over a yr. It didn't support video ringtones. Loved it!!! It's speaker sound was awesome. Ironically it was pick-pocketed at a mobile fair at the china-friendship convention centre, Dhaka. Now i'm thinking whether to get W810i or W610i. Problably will get W610i as it's ext speakers seem to be louder than the W810i, as commented by many.

hm..why does this phone have about 1 point less in all categories, compared to the W810i?
I thought this phone was better than the W810i in all aspects :o

you can't zoom if you're using the normal mode, because the quality of the picture will only get worse, so why would you wanna zoom? I think that's why the designers of this phone made it this way.
after all.. this phone is all about details, right?
i have a motorola razr v3i at the moment, but i'm switching phones soon, i'm so into this w610i.
i might buy it this month =D

hoq on earth do i use the cam zoom, just constantly comes up on normal picture taking with "zoom not available in this mode"!!

Hello folks i used w810i just 3 month ago. that was Phone have everything, nothing bad side. 10on10. But i Lost that.That was a nightmare to me! Now i wanna buy w610i, But i confused is it's Camera zoom & photo quality like w810? is the lance focus & pictures good? Can anyone Help me those matters? thanks.

Guys, I am willing to throw away $1000 US dollars to buy the best cell phone to date. Among the walkman phones, which one is the best? I need a music player, a good camera and great connectivity and also FM radio. I hope to receive replies. I am so confused! Thanks!!!

you should choose SE K550/W610 over the opposite for these reasons:
1.Quality camera, albeit not as qualitative as K750 but still better.
2.Quality Sound: all SEs have relatively good sound render ever since K700 was released(take note that K700 dont ven have megabass eq)
3.Excellent intuiiveness of the GUI while providing the neccessary user friendliness for all users - no other phone in the market can match the number of animations and logicalness of the overall UI. but the upcoming iphone is a very good competitor to these.
4.Battery life - W880 even proved us that even in a sheer slimness battery life is never compromised by SE, all in all, SE battery is excellent.
5.Solid build quality - SE always offer us solid and non creaky feeling when holding any of their phones, some issues like looseness but that doesn't mean that it is fragile.
6. If you have seen any of it's phones which uses netfront 3 browser, you may distinguish that SE phones with netfront 3 browser(including the two) can view pages like what a desktop can do, even though they lack all features found on standard browsers in PC(but hey it's still a mobile phone right?)
just like noname, i'm also a former nokia user, but i have realized that SE suits me better so have a good desicion over those things on your own choice, happy choosing!!!;D

ASN…I can’t comment on Nokia (I personally got tired of it) I like I bought SE for a change, and between K550i and W610i (which I own) they are almost identical with W610i has a MegaBass feature (which is great by the way) and it’s the latest among the two. Personally I like w610i because of its slick design. I’ll go with the W610i
Sharon…yes, you must first eject it at “My documents” before you can eject it at “removable drive icon” at your taskbar.

Thank you for those that had reply my problem..=)Finally i able to disconnect it thru "My Computer". If i reject it by selecting the removable icon, it can't works. Not sure whether it is my phone problem..=(
Anyway, this is my 1st SE phone, and i love it so much..worth to buy it!!
