Even when the The Wi-Fi is connected, when I try to search on the web, it asks me to (add connection) which I think he means network provider internet setting.
So, How can I log into the internet directly when the wi-fi is connected? Any special setting needed?

alot of... moreHey! Let me say something. People will always complain about something, specially on the web. You never know when someone is being honest. I have only had this phone for like a week. I havent had any problems with it. People say it hangs and that all SE phones are the same. I've had 3 SE phones previously and only one had a problem. My c902 kept freezing while listening to music but I never updated its firmware. So maybe its that? I already updated the w705 and the only thing I've noticed is that the wi-fi signal reaches out more. It used to disconnect a lot in my living room and now it doesnt. The only complaint I have is that the camera is awefull in low light. Especially blacks andndark colors, but then again its a music phone. It sucks because I also have a nokia 5610 and the camera is way better, but the design and music quality is better on the w705.

I read alot of opposite reviews about this phone
alot of people talk about problems in software & hardware and alot of people recommend strongly this phone.

So far this phone has not much problems. The only thin is it is easily hang and auto off may i know why all sony ericsson phone is like that?!

Just thought I should share this: yesterday I updated the firmware on my w705 and the wifi seems to be working better. I dont know if it has anything to do with the update but I'm pleased with this phone. The camera still sucks without good lighting! I do recommend this phone!

i love se phones bt their developers r doing sh¤i abt W series......xpress gona lead music cos
1. SE developers making W series with less specification.....other hand new xpress music phons r Symbian.....nd thats mean a lot..xpress phons have opened the opportunity to use variety of 3rd party soft...nd some 3rd party music player (lik LCG 1.42 , CUgo nd TT POD ) r even cooler than walkman player nd best part is that u can us then all in a xpress phon...
2 another fact is price.... Lot SE hardware nd software config with High price then the advanced xpress phon making it worse
so kind request to Se developers that plz make SE walkman phons smarter nd reduce the price also.........cos at the end of the day most of us gona select xpress if u dont do that....gudluck 4 se.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2009anyone knows how to activate w705 shake control.All you need to do is hold the phone so that you can easily press and hold the w. button on top. Then, you press it and hold it down and move your hand to either the left or right and quickly return it back to the center. Left is to go to the previous track and right for the next. Also you can press and hold and then move forward or backward and this increases or decreases the volume! Hope I explained good enough!

kurma, 21 Aug 2009hmm ok thanks, u may have saved me $$$..strange though seem... moreSure no prob! But one thing: I dont regret getting it because its a good phone. My only complaint is the camera, the wifi does get annoying but I just sit closer to the room where the modem is! But if you dont want to struggle a little, then get something else ;)

kurma, 21 Aug 2009seems like a deal...bt does anyone know the range of the wifi?I cant tell you exact numbers but my iPod reaches my modem in the living room, which is 1 room away from my modem and it has full signal. My w705, barely has 1 of 3 bars lit and keeps giving me a connection error.
