I tried this handset in the shop and the keys seem very stiff and hard to push.

First of all i want to say that i am a big fan of se phones.
i think that no any other brand can fulfill all the desires as sony can. my is of the that he you are seeking for symbian then go for nokia s60 else love only sony. but if you are looking for any other brand them please forget it because only there two are the best . in the category of java phones SONY is the best . you can surf net best , good audio quality , good camera quality also . the speed of gprs is best in sony and one thing i tell you that for viewing last opened sites it is fast. in the term of music it has real sound but in nokia extra shrillnes , and no reality in sound , overall you can say 'KARKASH' sound. it can produce migrain if you hear daily two hrs . its my experience. and in the view of camera sony has less noise in any mode but of nokia, greeness in photos ha but the quality of led flash is best of nokia.
my these thoughts are based on my observations on following phones....
