I have no other way of putting this, this phone is the pits. I must have received a dud. It has more functions than any of my previous phones, but they either have the habit of not working at all, or starting up whenever. The camera shortcut connected to the lens opener activates itself constantly. At first I thought I was accidentally switching it on, but even when it just lies on my desk, the camera turns on. Turning it off to make a call is impossible. Internet and MMS functions do not work and neither does the walkman at times. On the positive side the battery and camera (except for the above problems) live up to expectations

its a verey nice phone but walkman function is worse compare to w550i which gv more loud volume

I got sony ericsson mobile w800 six days ago. I found it very nice, smart, delicate and has very advanced technologies. I try to tell my friends about its specification. just two things I hope you will add to make this mobile a unique one, the first is waves acception, and the second is cover colors.

I got sony ericsson w800 five days ago, I found it is fantastic in every specification, sound, shapde, responses, and a lot of things. Its memory is very wide to include all what I need. Just one things I hope to be added to this valuable mobile, it needs to add waves acception and to add more colors for the cover. best wishes

I got it four days ago and i want to say this phone is the best i never want to change my set
thereis no problem at all in this set . it is so comfortable really a super set .

its 2months that i have taken w800. i use to find some probs with it now and then like bat discharging fast, sometimes it automaticly restarts, i think any master pice will have some draw backs so i continued enjoying this phone. ITS WONDERFUL

this cell phone if u buy this will be a very good investment because this has a 2 megapis camera 512mb memery card included picture quality is excellent and moreover this has auto focas mp3 sound is excellent and if you go tried of your own music turn on the radio and very important the games fastest i love play the games.

man i was a nokia user and had in mind never to shift brand but w800 in too good and yes it plays video in full screen if u love to listen to quality musin and like to take pics its the best in the marked without a doubt with w800 i dont miss my nokia 6600 stolen last month so its good buy go for it

vikash! contact a SE local dealer and have them
reinstall/change the software fot he phone. i had a similar problem and it was only the matter of an old version of software (how moronic can u get). anyway, they do it for free, pc

w800 DOES play video in full screen mode. the thing is u cant FF or REW while video is in full screen mode(u CAN do that while in normal mode). another thing is that once u have activated fullscreen and u decide to go back to normal mode (for example,if u want to FF or REW) it atomatically starts to play from the beginning,it does not continue the video (which is a big problem when u are watching long videos). another thing i have a problem with is that when im watching a video (that i have converted, from .avi or .mpeg to .mp4 or .3gp, myself with one of the freeware or cracked coverters) in full screen, sometimes (very often) audio just stops playing and i can only see the video,but cant hear it! realy sucks when i want to watch music videos in full screen! anyway,this does not happen when i watch a video i have recorded with the built-in w800 camera (which is btw excelent!). all these problems might only be with my phone,but still,SE has much improvement to do with their video player. otherwise i am a ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER and all in all the phone is great. i have it since december and i love it and i would recommend it to ANYONE who is thinking of buying it! pc

in what country shoud it be made, in order to be a good phone, because, all k750i and w800 i've seen are made in china and i'm not confident about their quality.

This is the main problem with these handsts and sadly it is almost impossible to rectify, you have one of the phones that are corrupted.
You need to get a replacment but if your with orange frankly your buggered as there stance is that it makes calls and thats all they provide it for!
If your within 14 days your best cancelling the order and waiting for the new updated w810i.
Couple of questions mate and ill tell you what to do!
are you on contract or pay as you go?
How long have you had the phone?
Where did you get it?
Have you being sent a replacement?
Did it happen after you sync with a pc?

Hi guys,
I have had my W800i for just over two weeks now, and it is great. I have not had one single problem with it.
The MP3 player will not play WMA files, but it is easy to download a WMA - MP3 converter off the net, which allows you to change and play your WMA files. With most of the file converters you can also change the size of the file (64K is CD quality) and this has let me put over 20 CD's onto the standard 512mb mem stick.
Camera is cool and flash can be used as a LED mini light.
On the all, I am happy with my phone. Glad I did not get the N70.

My phone isn't reading the memory stick. Any reason why? Sony Ericsson W800.
I got the memory stick out, and restarted the phone but the phone didn't read the memory stick. Please help

This phones menu and functionality are great but there are problems. The camera is average but it's a phone so what do you expect. The MP3 player is average but it's a phone so what do you expect. But the fault that is really annoying me is what I call the black screen of death! For no apparent reason the screen goes black, there is still power because the keys light up, and the only way to solve the problem is to remove the battery and restart the phone. I've had the latest software upgrade but didn't solve it. Has anyone else had this problem? Could you fix it?
