If you have this problem you need to wait (give your phone some time) after the transfer is complete, give it about half an hour, close the disc to phone window. Then use 'remove device safely' on your status bar, next to the clock (bottom right coner) if this works. The reason is even though it says tranfer complete, it takes time to actually save the music onto you phone.

erm.. can any one pls teach me how to switch off the sound of taking pic? i wan to make it mute.. n my other frens phone in sony ericsson series also wondered bout tis.

uhm.. what exactly do you mean by "hp?" sorry..
uhm.. i think it is broken because it is working fine then suddenly it just died on me.. card readers cant detect it, and even my phone...

how can i transfer mp3's from my laptop to my phone everytime i do it only 1 0r 2 songs av actully been transfered this is really gettin frustrating.

You can transfer movies from your pc, mpeg avi even dvd movies. U need a converter to convert your movies to 3gp. 212mb file was compressed to 2mg in 3gp. Great phone.

Thinkin of getting this phone cos it looks great and has lots of memory. Does ne1 kno if u can transfer video files from ur pc to the phone. if so wat length of video can u transfer. please help cheers

For hp like SE K750i n abv , when u fix cable the pc will not be able find the memory card , thts normal. U will hv to move the memory to the hp b4 movin it to the pc.

W800i memory stick problem.. it is dead?!
i got a big prob and i need help! the other night i was transfering files from my phone to pc using the usb cable supplied. but when i disconnect it, the didnt detect my memory stick.. i tried other device like a card reader but still, it didnt detect the card.. as if it didnt exist.. this is so frustrating.. how could this happen? to those youve encountered this problem, could you help me? did you guys find a solution? this is really disappointing...

Damn I was just about to buy the phone when the guy at Sony told me it dont even work in my country!
Cant believe this, this service sucks!

I've xfered all sorts of files via bluetooth, pics, mp3 and videos all right so far, never have a problem, and had this phone a little over a month and half now.

I read a lot of complains , freezing screens, the need of removing the battery and turn on again, etc.
Thanks for the info, and another question, how much time you can video record and what about the quality compare to those regular sony digital cameras?

I've had this phone for almost a month now. I've sent a file through bluetooth before (to another phone Nokia6682) and there was not any problem at all. i have not experienced any loss of files like the pictures. I love this phone and i am not regretting getting it. It really is multifunctional, awesome camera, MP3 player, and of course, cell phone

Thinking of buying these phone cause I'm looking for these 3 things:
-Good quality cam with flash
-Bluetooth capability
-a nice looking "block" (i dont feel like opening stuff to make some calls)
Anyway.. reading some reviews, theres seems to be a problem with the bluetooth function when transfering files.
could anyone confirm me please or tell me if SE already fix it and how.

The phone is very affordable and features are great even it is already old. And by the way I have a K750i and also superb features.

hi, i got this fone on contract along with my m8 about a 2 weeks ago an both of the fones have had 2 be taken back because of software problems an they were both freezing and wiping off all pictures and music, i dont recomend any1 to get this fone as it caused alot of hastle

so far the only way i would know would be ripping it directly.... i only know cdex directly from a cd, and xilisoft ripper to do so.... can't help you assides from this.
to everyone:
i purchased my phone in mexico, and being on silent mode no shutter sound while taking pictures.
to awais:
yes you do have equalizer while mp3 playing, got 5 preset settings: normal, bass, mega bass, voice, and acute, which you can change on your personal taste.
to prawler, if u use a sim card u can store some of them over there, though, i'm not sure numbers are actually saved on memory stick though...

Hi!
I used to have K750 - it wasn't great - software bugs making it restart, buttons were stuck from time to time, sound had some noise after a month's use.
Anyway, I was assured by my local store, that this is not an issue with W800, so I bought it.
Well, restarts were rare, BUT today software completely collapsed and phone doesn't start at all.
Local repairers said they have to flash it, but in this way I will lose over 400 contact numbers.
DOES anyone know how I can save my address book? Is there any such software, for example like for PC-s, to just read the phone memory as a slave card?
Please, help me!
