This phone absolutely rocks. I've had no problems. The camera picture is awesome. The features are all really good. It's a lot more robust than my last phone. The sound quality is really good. It's hours of endless fun!! Plus I really like the orange colour. It makes it look so funky. It is slightly big but it's a really fun phone and I've never got bored of it.

what lack? you mean Lag?? always safely remove the phone thru the "safely remove devices" window. if not you can loose data and corrupt your memorycard.

what files are they? they must be MP3, ACC or MP4.

this is a problem. you should be able to 'hot swap' your memory card in the w800i
if it dose this it MAY be your memory card or hot swap featur in your phone.,
with your phone turning off. mine has done the same in the past and i have been given a new phone from SE. this is a problem with the k750 aswell, hopefully not with the k800.
this is a bug i am unsure how to fix. all i can say is keep your firm ware up to date. see how you go with that.

When I bougth this phone was working very very good but like about 2 or 3 months after start to get some problems like:
When you disconnect the phone from the Pc over the USB. the phone gets lack.
When the phone is turned on and you remove the memory stick and put it back the Phone don't recognize the memory til you turn off and turn on again recognize.
When you try to play a song sometimes don't recognize or say playback failed, i don;t why.
sometimes the phone get lack from nothiing and is very very slow to response.
My Phone was a lot of lack and turned off by quitting the battery because the phone don't response and when I try to turned on again the phone show just a white screen for 1 or 2 seconds and turned off again, I went to the Phone Company and they sended to Sony Ericsson and after 10 days (because 10 days is the repair time) and after the 10 days they said me that they going to exchange that phone for another one and there was no one phone to replace and the said they don't know when gonna have more of the W800i.
And Now I'm waiting to get a P990 or the K790 or 800 any gonna be better than the W800i I Think.
But Leaving the problems all that the cell phone have is very very cool

-32 MB Internal Memory
-256K color Display
-everything is good probably is the best phone in features in the market even better than Motorola V3 any version

I figured out how to correct the file transfer problems with the w800i. You have to go to sonyericsson.com and go to the support and downloads and download the Sony Update program. This is a step by step wizard that installs the new firmware upgrade and 100% completely fixes the transfers from disc2phone and other transfers. Every song will now transfer guaranteed.

I plan to buy this phone soon.
However, I have some questions unanswered.I hope someone can help me.
As far as I know, w800i came with a 512mb duo pro memory card.
Is there a difference between ms duo,ms pro and ms duo pro.
I have a memory card reader. It's USB2.0 8-in-1 card reader by Apacer. I'm currently using it for my N-gage.
Can the 512mb duo pro be able to use that card reader?

No there is nodifference between w800i & w800c. w800i is for the international market while w800c is for china market.

yes my my bro has a w800 he has encoutered that problem also where all the songs dont make it to the phone but he dont make it a prob

SE-W800i is nice! its very handy. The only thing that bugs me is the joystick. The navigation doesnt seem to work well. I'm also confused with the picture quality. Which captures best? it has 2 options "normal" and "fine"?
