thanks for your response.
the only choices i have are those three phones because of an entangled web on contracts and such.
i dont think i want to pay that much for the w810 because it seems to be so expensive for the music. also, it seems too confusing for me. i was reading all about downloading software and bugs and its overwhelming.
i hear the nokia 6270 takes bad pics up close.
but you think i should go ahead and get the w810?

hey fickle what i can tell you about looking for a phone with quad band and a 2 mp camera.
you should buy a SE W810, but i dont know why? you could have an smartphone with those features and better like a nokia N70. paying the same price.

the main things i am looking for in a phone are quad band and a 2 mp camera.
for users of the w810, is this camera worth the high cost of the phone?
i dont really care about the music; i have an ipod.
my options are: SE w810, samsung D600, and nokia 6270.
please help me. ive been to hell and back trying to get a good phone.

i jus got the phone today, its great. i was wondering if someone could tell me step by step how to put videos, episodes etc on the phone.and if i need different software how do i get it.????

Is it possible to connect a usb flash drive directly to the phone and play music off of it..sort of like an external memory card?

i just got tis phone...its quite ok but sometimes when i stop the mp3 and start it again ... it start from the begining but the screen is showing another song not the first but the song tt i was play b4.... but overall it cool looking and very easy to handle....

just updated the new firmware, nuthing different, 1%-2% different.. Expecting the
sound (alert ringtone) volume louder, but
still no change on the volume.. even u change/modify the mp3 & increase the volume..

Help!!! still cannot figure out a way to get R4ck003 for my phone in order to stop dropped calls and get rid of bugs. I am in miami, Florida. I read on howardsforum that you can use w800 SE update. Will this work? Thanks

Well I got my replacement w810 (R4CE012 - o2 uk) and weirdly the flashlight bug has gone - however the horrendously poor handsfree speaker remains. During calls the spkr crackles and distorts as tho the vol is way too high - even at low vol (4bars) - it also sounds terrible at the other end too.

Does anyone know what version of firmware has the Orange branded W810i and if it has the same bugs...flashlight bug...reseting shortcuts after turning off and on...or if it has other bugs ? I want to know if with this version W810i reset itself. Thanks!

Winston, I had mine upgraded in a local SE service center since we dont have the over the air update in our area yet. Since the unit was just a couple of days old and I showed them the flashlight problem and the shortcuts reverting to the default after restarting, they upgraded the firmware for free. Now I havent had any problems whatsoever and am completely satisfied.

I had that firmware too - seems most common in the UK (maybe ? mine was o2 ) although it's listed as pre-production firmware on the mobileburn review, seems they used it for the UK anyway. The only major bug I found on my handset was the light flashing (no matter what the battery) and that's an accepted issue with this particular firmware.

what do you meanthat my fimware is pre-production firmware according to MobileBurn.com? so far no serious problems only when the battery is under 50% and i put the camera light on it flashes on and off sould it have any other problems that i dont know about so i can see if there are such problems with my softwere?

I think w800i alert ringtone much better louder 35% than W810i, because W800i has the
35% boost up the speaker sound when someone calls u, compare playing
at gallery. (same Max volume 8) not as loud
as some1 calls u. W810i doesnt have this feature, Am I Right? I have both W810i & W800i.. pls comment. TQ
