Andrew search on getjar.com for FileProtect. U can protect ur files with this app, but not ur SMS folder.

I bought the phone a week ago and i am really impressed with the stability of its software. I was NOKIA fan but know i see what a gret phone can do!!! My question is if in the digital camera you can use a trick so that the sound of the button can be silent. All the 4 setups does not support this. And the other question is if somehow you can play an mp3 or a recorded sound during a call so that the people you are talking to can hear it. Thanks in advance. Great phone but the battery could be better!

To Andrew: This is not a bug, so they never change that. Maybe u'll find a Java app that will do that. Thanks!

Im a bit pissed of i cannot passwords protect folders like sms inbox. Any knows if a firmware update will fix this? thx

To those people asking if an icon appears during screensaver, the answer is yes. If you press the W button, you would see the digital clock and if you have messages, an icon will appear also.
Re: viperkids's complaint about the w810 even w/ the upgrade, I dunno. Maybe he just doesnt know how to use the phone....remember, he was the one saying that being able to play 64 chord midi files are important in a music phone....I suggest you go test the units yourself before buying.

this is not actually true
i have mp3`s at 320kbps
and the volume is NOT loud enuff
i have had 2 of these phones
all i want to know is, if i upgrade the firmware, will the volume get louder?
can anyone help me with this question?
if the answer is yes, then i dont have to buy a Nokia N91!

With the firmware update, aside from the bugs being solved, I noticed a few minor changes...When connected to the computer and u transfer a file to the phone (using pc suite), it doesnt ask anymore on the phone if you wish to accept the file being transferred. It automatically transfers it. Another is the font of the inbox messages have gotten bigger.
Re: the sound, I am very happy w/ the volume of my music (whether headset or loudspeaker). I am currently listening to rage against the machine and its loud, esp. with the mega bass option on! And its not even full volume yet. I guess the sound quality depends on the mp3 file you downloaded coz they have different kbps. The higher the kbps, the better quality.

Hi can i use the memory card of this phone in my psp withoout changing the subfolders directory to play musics and view pictures?? cause in k750 i need to change directory folder in order to view or played in my psp

Is nokia paying you to say sony ericssons suck? guess no, please get a life man, really, you like your nokia fine im ok with that I got my w810 and im very happy with it, not a single damn problem yet, can you live with that? go listen mp3 on your nokia phone, go date a girl take her to the movies, maybe if you show her your nokia phone shell fall in love with you, really man you got some issues, stop makin critics about this phone, you dont like it fine we all noticed it

Hi - now that you have the firmware updated, can you tell me if the volume has improved while listening to MP3`s?
if it has, im keeping this phone, and NOT gonna get the NOKIA N91..
i have to make up my mind my this Friday

Got my phone from the service center. They upgraded my sw. The sw version is r4ck003. No more problems =)

i'm bought n70 and w 810 yesterday, i still choose n70 is better from w810, sound from w810 i lower than n70 but the camera is perfect, and one i hate from w810 is that the standby mode the display won't show anything just black... it's should be showing some date or information of misscall or incoming message

Is there a way to download games or themes via computer, like a web page where i can download the game for the w810, save the file in the computer, then transfer it by the memory stick?

hey, i've just got one, and it's awesome, but, i think that soud quality could be better, it is some worst than Samsung D820, but is loud enough, and i don't know, but mine worked with a 4gb MS pro DUO, que headaches are: radio does't work without a handfree, the flash could work automaticly, analysn theres is a thing that "see" the ambient light. and it's BEAUTIFULR... i'm not havin good experience with my pictures, they arent so good as the review, what could it be, it's like with some fog all around

Been using this phone for a couple of months.
Did a lot of research prior to buying.
My options were:
SE K750, Samsung credit card phone
I was looking for a good camera, or a super slim business phone.
Then I saw W810 at the shop and this was it!
Nice satin black, a lot better looking than both the K750 and W800. Although nowhere as slim as the Samsung credit card phone, the camera is incredible!
Also included is a 512Mb memory stick, so plenty of room for photos, although one may consider an extra memory stick if serious about mp3 player use.
For me, W810:
- brilliant camera
- better looking than K750 or W800
- when K800 comes out, it's gonna be very expensive, so that can be my next upgrade phone in 6 months to a year's time (if it's as good as everyone is expecting/hoping)
Can't emphasise the nice look of this satin black!! mmmmmmmmmmmm

I got noticed that this phone cans take pictures with ISO 80, whilst w800i's minimum ISO is 100...
