Viperkid your comments prove that you have obviously never used the W810i. The W810i does recognise MP3 ID tags and if you had bothered to look you can see that you can view your music by Album, Artist etc.

Now your next stupid comment about installing drivers. You just take the memory card out and plug it in if you have the socket, no need for drivers not a cable. What could be easier than that?

As to your coment about eAAC being better than OGG I suggest you read http://www.maresweb.de/listening-tests/mf-128-1/results.htm
where you will see that AAC quality varies greatly between encoders.

This section is for opionions on the W810i not constant posts about phone x is better than this phone blah blah especially from someone who has obviously not tried the phone in question.

W810i is an excellent phone.Had a choice between 3250 and w810i and the seller told me to take the w810i as it is much better than the 3250 although it has a few bugs which will be fixed later. The loudspeaker is as good as the P910i with a little bass and much treble.

        Sergio:

yes i know that problem 100%! my cousin recently bought W810 at Sony Square and also found d same problem u experienced plus more. all u can do for now is wait for a software update by SE. all W810 owners has that problem too plus more, so don't worry every W810 owner has that problem also, for those who are saying dey don't have d problem they r just denying d fact that it has stupid bugs as of now and to justify d amount of money they paid for W810!

OGG is great but eAAC+ is definitely BETTER in quality! u know deep inside of u that u have not tried eAAC+ to say those baseless comments. W810 really has poor music management, u know y, all u get in the folder of w810 is pile of MESSY music files and u still need to MANUALLY create playlists just to categorize em unlike with 3250 (provided u've entered necessary info when ripping) it recognized ID3 tags as a result 3250 can categorize by album, artist, composer and genre! plus d fact that 3250 can do a search on d music library by artist, album, song etc like what u do on ur phonebook, dat's what i call excellent music management! plus there's no need to install addl drivers just to enable ur PC to recognize ur phone as a USB mass storage which is very fast in tranferring files opposite with W810. can W810 do that all??? all d reviews i've read does not even know how to update music library on 3250 plus d fact that they did not mention d search function on music library so they can say that 3250 has poor music management which is NOT true at all! we can even meet personally and let's see who can change tracks between tracks as many times in a minute! i bet that W810 will surely loose to 3250, wat do u expect if u'll try to find a track in all ur songs (e.g. 400) by just playlists and not by searching! also, codecs like eAAC+ is used for maximizing precious space and let me tell u that eAAC+ tracks has a quality of around 94% of that original source believe it or not with a space of approximately 1.5mb only! i agree with u that a phone needs to be well balanced not just by strong in one point or two, for me W810 has great camera but not video, good music overall but not great and poor communication functions (e.g. drop calls, reliability, msging, phonebook does not allow saving multiple fields under a name like 3 office nos, 2 home nos etc. in one name) for me 3250 is a more balanced feature-set cellphone in its price range! do u want me to send u an email with a track, one encoded with AAC 128kpbs and one with eAAC+ 48kbps so u'll really know wat im talkin about re their quality!?!?! about earphones, HS20 that came in d box works great if u know how to make d proper settings on 3250s equalizer, NONE of GSMarena (mobilmania), mobile-review and not even Infosync world has made d right audio settings! besides, mobilmania's and mobile-review's review of 3250 is ENTIRELY based on a UNFINALIZED and OLD firmware of 3250!

Supporting more audio formats does not make it a better phone. OGG is the best lossy audio format followed closely by MP3, AAC and WMA. File size will always come down to whatever quality you are prepared to put up with.

As to your comment that the W810i has poor music management I disagree. It's easy to create a playlist and just as easy to navigate around it whilst playing music.

As to the quality of the loudspeaker I ask why does it matter? The only thing the loudspeaker is for is ringtones. Anybody really wanting to listen to music will use headphones. I mean how many MP3 players, such as iPod and YEPP, have a loudspeaker?

When all is said and done a phone needs to be well balanced and not just strong in one area and this is where Sony excels. Because they have dedicated walkman R&D and dedicated camera (Cybershot) R&D they have the people and the knowledge to make the phones good in both these areas and it shows. Nokias main problem is they are just a phone company and mobile phones are now more than just phones.

              abc:

it depends, if u want a better overall music player, quality and management go with 3250 bcoz it supports more formats making it more a space saver, it supports eAAC+ and WMA (eAAC+ consumes around 1.5mb only 1 full track with 94% quality compared to original source) plus it has "real" dedicated music keys that works 100% don't believe GSMarena (originally from mobilmania) that twisting mechanism does not work they also know in REALITY that it works perfectly plus d fact that they ADMITTED having tested d older version. plus music/file transfers are definitely faster than W810. 3250's video capture is better than W810 everybody knows that plus u can edit videos! otherwise if u want a great camera phone go with W810 bcoz it has auto focus and flash but remember it does not support eAAC+ only AAC (d size is around 3.5mb per song) let's say u have 2GB mem stick when compared to 3250s 1GB microSD u can still have more songs in 3250 in eAAC+ format than W810's AAC and quality of files are almsot d same! screen aspect, 3250 is bigger in surface though has less pixels. 3250 has symbian OS, it means u can install (in the near future) more apps/games in 3250 than W810 bcoz networks nowadays has more apps/games offered to symbian phones than non symbian based phones! if infrared is that important to u, forget 3250 go get W810. in short if u want an excellent phone with great overall music player and an average camera with better video recording (than W810) get 3250. on d other hand if u want a great camphone, decent music player (with poor music management), and an average phone (features, e.g. call, txts, missed calls, dropped calls) performer go get W810 and of course currently d said complaints about bugs on this W810!

yeah, i admit it, nokia is louder than SE, but anyways, people who want to have a "music phone" i guess is to carry their music anywhere in anytime, i mean, to have their music for they own; it's like ipod, with an ipod you just can listen to your music by headphones. In the other side, math me (like you sayed) if it isn't true that sony ericsson alway have had much better cameras than any nokia?? and that the design of this phone in real life it's really awesome!! and again i say, in the case you want to share your music, this phone has the external loudspeakers included in the package

                  Adrián:
of course, nokia has its own external loudspeakers and im talking about internal loudspeakers (on d phone itself) NOT d external one! no, im not envy to SE's enhancements, its d other way around, perhaps ur just insecure..

                  james:
W810's loudspeaker has no match to 3250's loudspeaker believe it or not! i've tested em head to head and i found out that both sound quality and loudness in it is definitely better than W810! i challenge everyone here to disagree, u know that guys pretty well in REALITY! to those who will disagree, i must say that u have not tried 3250 in REAL life and ur basis are those unfair and based from UNFINALIZED firmware of 3250 reviewed by mobile-review (txts in music player is black but in d newer version its white) and GSMarena (originally from mobilmania) and even admitted having tested d older firmware bcoz of the twisting mechanism its not working they said but in REALITY its working 100%, 3250 owners can back me up on this! plus d fact that GSMarena (originally from mobilmania) said 3250 starts up at HALF MINUTE thats totally NOT TRUE bcoz in REALITY it only takes 15 seconds! i challenge GSMarena to disagree (even mobilmania) let's see who's telling the TRUTH! also take note that default settings on 3250 are not any good i think that's y mobilmania said d sound on 3250 remained lame even when using a different earphone, i think they've used d default settings and never had d patience to properly set d right settings, mobilmania i can even email u the best audio settings so u'll know how 3250 really sounds!

Also, if you have money to burn, you can buy the FM transmitter attachment that lets you broadcast the MP3 player over a short range FM band so you can listen to it on a radio or your car stereo.

Also if you aer feeling very very rich you can buy the GPS autoroute kit for this phone and it's only £299 :-))

                      To James

Yes, you can listen to mp3 songs through the built in loudspeaker. It's not the greatest sound in the world of course, but as good as can be expected.

I don't know why Mr Smart says you have to listen to it like a phone, that is incorrect.

You can buy the sony loudspeaker attachment, but any set of speakers can be attached to them through the 3.5mm stereo jack.

Does anybody else find it funny that the 512 meg card that comes with this phone is actually a Sandisk card and not a Sony one. Makes you wonder if Sony think Sandisk make better disks because surely it would be cheaper to use their own brand.

Yes a few people have reported bugs but most haven't. People report bugs in every make of phone. You buy a phone shortly after it's initial release then you have to expect the odd bug. No company can fully test every feature and every possible configuration especially as phones get more advanced and more options.

I have this phone, I think it's great and I have yet to find a single bug nor have I managed to replicate any of the bugs listed in the opinions here. I'd recommend this phone to anyone.
