Also had the phone, nice phone can't put it down because it does everything except it doesn't have 3g but Sony Ericsson could of done better.
The handset is exactly like the W800i the only difference it that it's quadband and it looks slightly better.
Sound quality is exactly the same sony should of really added more features.
The K750i, W800, W810i are exactly the same but with different covers.
Overall I like the W810i it's slick and i've not spotted any bugs, Go Get it

I had my first mobile back in 1996 which was an Ericsson. Since then I've had any number of phones, especially Nokias. But THIS IS the best phone I have ever used!! SE have excelled where everyone else has failed. My Moto's have always packed up pre 12 months. So branding is irrelevant. This is a stunning Phone, MP3 and DigiCam. Great looking and intuitive to use! This is a must have phone :-)

I want this phone! The matte black finish is awesome (kinda like motorola e398). I figure this is more of a man's phone as compared to the w800i which, IMHO is designed for ladies. This blows away the Nokia 3250 and N91!

Have you guys ever heard this phrase: one who hits first, hits twice? Well it can totally apply to se phones. Why? Because se puts phones in the market really quickly, not caring about bugs, bad quality or absolutely no reliability. Thats why nokia or samsung take longer to release their products... cause they test them in order to be useful! And in any case se fans get offended, i guess its because im only saying the truth. Ordered the phone from O2 customer service (upgrade) last Friday, was a bit concerened when UK folk were quoting O2 saying the w810 was out of stock but low and behold, the phone arrived yesterday! First impressions are good, I've been a SE user since the T28 and have always been impressed with the build quality and the ease of operating system. The w810 does not disappoint; it looks great, the sound from the mp3 player is ace (megabass will blow your eardrums), the camera takes sharp pics (nice touch with autofocus), the operating system is fast and intuitive (Motorola should really take note) and oh yeah, it also makes and receives phone calls. I have not noticed any of the bugs listed through this forum and am more than happy with my choice. 10 out of 10!!

I just had a quick look and it seems to me like you can only set pictures or ringtones for different callers.

Someone who OWNS THIS PHONE:
Can you set videos as caller ID? I used to have a Samsung D600 and I could take short videos and set them as caller ID when someone called. Please let me know.

Just got this phone today. As far as I know, im the only one here in the city that has this phone! Oh yeah!!!
I was surprised on how small this phone is. Played around with it, figured mostly everything. Just cant seem to upload the videos I took to my computer. How do you do it? Its not on the manual.

Yeah, it's very good that this phone does not have a joystick.
I hope they will fix the flas light problem and send us the update very soon.
Yeah, this phone comes with black ear phones, not with gray ones as portrayed in the picture. Which is good for me.
I would've wished an all black phone with green backlighting. Orange is a little childish I would say.

Your wrong about the W810i. It only records video in 3gp format regardless if its mmc or high quality. only 3GP
It can play back in 3GP and MP4

Does anyone have this phone in the US using Cingular? Curious if picture messages (MMS) and internet work. Let me know. I've read a lot about people not able to use those functions with Cingular using unlocked phones.

Yes I admit the main thing which drew me to this phone is how it doesn't have a joystick. That was also the only thing I didn't like about the W800i. Still I think the W810i looks better than the W800i, I don't think white really suits phones, but then I guess thats only my opinion because many people think the W800i looks good.
I hope SE take the public's opinions into account and start making more good phones without joysticks.

Hey i've got W800i n tested this phone for a week.i directly compared it,W800i beats this.this fone has cheap feel to it.the orange Walkman button isn't really orange,kinda copper colourd,agen feels n looks cheap.
only good thing about W810 the removal of joystick!!
