HARDMAN where did you see MUCM in my post ? :D I'm jocking.. ;)
Afcorse SE will fix the problems! They cary about their buyers, very good in fact compared to other brands. You should have patience,SE won't ever let their phone with such problems, this is not Siemens with 2345 firmwares and still problems,so don't worry and don't be so angry,it's not healthy. Ask in your nearest SE service or market for these problems,or email as i said. Every problem have it's fix. Always!

To: MUBU - Thanks for the tips! Not practical to have to do that, but now I know.
To: MUCM: Since you don't have the phone you can't instruct me to turn off the power saving because there is no power saving option. Besides, thanks for making me feel better that SonyEricsson will fix the LIGHT problem and the DROPPED CALLS problem.

Also to Hardman,
One of the niggles I have found is that everytime the phone is turned off and then back on again the master volume goes back to half level. Since the ringtone and message alert, as well as having the additional volume on the ringtone, both utilise the master volume. All you can do is each time you turn the phone back on is to play a tune and turn the volume back to maximum each time. Unless anyone knows an easier way.

to HARDMAN - A few post ago, some one written that when you send email,or contact anyway to SE and explain what is the problems, they helps you. Soon will be new firmware, and I',m 100% sure that missed calls and the light problem will be fixed. It's strange that in the menu don't have settings for power saving mode,in k700's for example did that settings, and afcorse if you don't want your phone to be with totaly black screen while in stand by you just turns off the saving mode in the menu. It should have this in w810 also, the light sensor afcorse won't be disabled when turn off saving mode in the menu,it should be there that settings.. Otherwise to be added in the coming soon new firmware. Maybe more opinions from owners about that? Regards!:)

I like this phone very much but:
1) When I turn on the flash light to take a picture, the light starts blinking hindering me from taking a picture. When I turn on the flash light to see in the dark, the light blinks again! This is so totally wrong and irritating!!
2) I think that the message alert should have come with a volume adjustment option. Somehow, I'm not hearing the incoming sms unless the phone is under my chin.
3) After 20 seconds in standby, the phone goes totally black, I look at it and I don't know if it's on or off! They could've at least made it gray if they want to save energy but totally black is too much! Or a totally black screen with a digital clock. A majority of people nowadays look at their phones in standby to see the time, but this is unfortunately not possible in w810i. Besides, if I have a missed call or an sms I would really like to see that on the standby screen just like in other phones: Nokia, Samsung etc...
4) I've had the phone for less than a week, but I heard that some w810i owners are losing calls because the phone has a software problem in receiving incoming calls. I think if this is true, then this is a catastrophy. A 500 euro phone that has such a problem is an outrage! Walkman and smart design I appreciate it all, but the phone has got to be 110% reliable. If some customers don't reach me on this phone, then I'm losing much more money than the €500 I paid for this Sony Ericsson.

"The phone has the same radio quality as the K750i, which is rather high. HPM-70 stereo headset is included into the kit, but in contrast to previous versions the earphones imply no rubber insertion for wearing on the neck. They are simpler and feature only thin wires. They both look plainer and transmit sound worse (subjectively the quality is lower)." -> mobile-review.com
To owners - Is this true ? If there is a difference what's it?

For settings I suggest you get them from the Sony Ericsson website, I got mine from there and they work fine, just enter your details like your contry, phone network and number and they will send you the settings instantly. Just go to www.sonyericsson.com and choose your country/language and then click on support and there should be a section of links for the settings to be sent. I hope this helps.

Yes, I noticed that when my battery was really low the flashing light problem stopped; it's almost as if they've got it the wrong way round.

once again, i will say that the flashing light problem will occur even after a full charge or while charging. it doesn't only happen if it's under 3.5 bars.
i'm just waiting for a f/w release which hopefully will fix this problem.
I've also experienced the odd dropped call, but i don't know if that's the phone or just a ntework issue. I know others have complained about dropping calls on the w810i

Complete detail abt w810:
Plus points:
1)Very clear and bright screen
2)Gud battery life
3)Music amazing with hedphone(better than ipod)
4)Camera - 2 mega pix camera @ its best
5)many easy short keys
6)Best keypad SE ever had
7)Gud memory too
Negative points
1)Speaker on phone not loud.Volume is very poor.(usually SE phones have gud speaker but this one...i dont know wht went wrong with SE)
2)screen goes blank after a while as if it is switched off
3)No lens cover
4)SE PC suite nowhere near nokia PC suite
5)Very few applications available for phone
6)Phone cannot be updated using ur pc
7)very costly( not worth tht amount(Rs. 21300 in India))
I will recommend k750i or w800 instead bcoz u get all features except 'edge' for very less price.Still the phone is very gud and nice.If u have money go 4 it
u wont regret....
