Retrix, if i understand you correctly you where paying £18 pm for a £30pm tariff right ? if so then the price you where quoted for the upg is correct to a point.
You moaned about the price, what do you expect if you where reciving a discount on the tariff ? this is a busissness after all.

Adam, what do you exactly mean by this ?
ie you started a contract with another phone and now you want this one ??? if so then am sorry but your past the 14 day cooling off period and so will have to a) stick it out or b) pay full contract price for the handset.

You do have a good point, but I like high resolution cameras on phones because they look better quality when you resize it smaller. If I take an image with my W810i and resize it to 640x480 the quality is amazing where as if I take it with my old 6230 it looks no where near as good and it can only take 640x480 images.

There something I will never understand...why do people care so much about the camera in a mobile ??!! I mean, for the moment there are some 2 MP mobile available, but there are quite expensive compare to a digital camera. For the moment I think it isn't worth, maybe in few years. But for the moment, let's be honnest, although some mobile can do 2 MP resolution, the quality of pictures is not so good. Everything is not in resolution. I have a digital camera Sony 5 MP. I shoot pictures in 1 MP only and the quality is much better than the pictures shot by a 2 MP mobile...so, conclusion ? Do we really need an expensive gadget that shoots pictures in bad quality ? What for ? If you want good pictures, buy a digital camera. It will be cheaper. Yes, true, you will no be able to download I don't know what brandnew ringtone by bluetooth from the digital camera...this is true. But if you want to do that, you buy a mobile, right ?? Because it is so important to download ringtones...Sometimes I think that mobile companies could remove the call function from their mobiles, people would not even see it !!!

I had problems upgrading to the W810i on O2 Online but then I realised that getting a new contract for the same monthly price cost less to buy upfront anyway; they told me it was £100 to upgrade - but it was only £30 upfront price to buy a new contract for the same £18 a month I was paying before. The only issue was changing my phone number which doesnt bother me.
By the way: does anyone else with this phone have the flashing light bug?

i think the w810i is really good, the only thing im not too keen on is the camera, i prefer the way that the n70 u could play the video without any icons on the screen, i miss that on the s.e. other than that, i would recomend it....also i read a comment about not being able to play mp3s??? is this true????

I bought this phone from eBay last week(CTI-Miami), but it turned out to be defective. It froze every 2 minutes. I returned it but I should get a replacement tomorrow. I paid 499 w/ overnight shipping. Don't buy it unless you have T-Mobile. Cingular users are having too many dropped calls with this phone.

hi all,
just to say i got this phone a few days ago from vodaphone, in my opinion its a great phone for music and photos just video quality aint that great. which im a bit dissapointed at considering how both samsung and nokia phones are capable of such as d600 and n70, and theyve been out some time now2.. but sony wins on everything else and the battery life is amazing,
just one question...
does anyone know how i can get rid of the crappy vodaphone live dull boring looking menus?? you can change the themes around but the icons look crap, please help make my phone that little bit better :-)
thanks jon

Is there anyone in the United States that has this phone? I've looked at a couple of websites, and all have similar prices. Any suggestions on what site would be best? I don't want to get ripped off. I appreciate the help.

To Anon
There is a current network fault currently effect a large area of Essexs in regurds to gprs which is needed to send pics and so on....
Has the fault allways been like this or has it just started ?, if it's just started then it points to the above network fault, if not then it points to some other fault.

Am sorry if you feel hard done buy but sadly we are at the whim of nokia/se to give us enuff stock or even supply any stock at all for this phone.
The 6280 is on a release date for the 15/04/2006 how ever this is subject to change.
The W810 will not be in free flow stock till the end of this month.
O2 does care about is customers, if we didn't we would not be in business, just that we must ballance the needs of the customer with the needs to run a business.

Lee, that is correct, stocks of this phone are going to be limited all the way till the start of may and so we have been adv to only offer this to custs that are spending over £100 pm, sorry if that seems unfair it's just that we simple don't have enuff to supply the demand for this phone that is for all tense and purposes a suped up W800i
