Finally got myself a W810i. It arrived in the post this morning. It takes a few hours to get used and once you do get used to it it's great! XD

AUDIO
The sound quality of this phone is excellent, however I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way you can create playlists on the computer and transfer, as it is not easy to create playlists when you have a list of 500 songs.
Also there are options to order songs, when playing an album, but when you order in the way they were created they still seem to order alphabetically. All I want is to be able to do is play the songs as they are on an album.
Any ideas welcome please.

Try calling up your local 02 stores and see if they have the fone in stock, this is what i did, they didnt have it in, but i asked them to reserve one for me and when they came in to call me.
They did exactly this, so went in the store and upgraded for free.
i was stuck in the same postition u are and this was really good.

Wow.............., Ive been trying to obtain this phone for a lil while still. I was due an upgrade from 02 since Jan and 1st I wanted the Nokia 6280 but they constantly kept saying it would be due in a few wks (its now April?)then I quite liked the Samsung Z??? (the 3G one lol) and I got the same response from 02, finally last wk I called rearding an upgrade and I was offred 750min plus 300 for £35pm with the W810i for free so I told the guy Id have a look at the spec and he gave me this website to look at, I called the very next day to be told that 02 no longer offer that deal and the phone is out of stock?!
I was told to call back on the 10th as they would be getting more in stock......................I just called and guess what?..................they told me to call back next week. Ive had enough of 02 and their terrible customer service, It seems like other newtworks will go out their ay to recruit new customers whereas 02 just have this blahze attitude and are quick to tell you to go elsewhere, so I think I might just do that............anyone have any good network recommendations? I already have T.mob im just looking to trade in my 02

phone looks nice but not cool enough.hate all the function buttons (except the no# pad) coz it looks like its gonna fall off sooner or later.yeah, it did freeze the screen somehow.been using for a week and functions great but then again i WILL wait for nokia N80 for a trade-in.

In Taiwan, there was a massive recall of the w810 phone. So now, there's a huge delay and shortage of this phone. Alarm clock, the light function, and the screen freezing (or functions freezing) seem to be the major problems.
Luckily, the one I bought doesn't seem to have these problems, honestly haven't tried the Alarm clock and the light function.
But my phone did freeze a bit when I connected the phone to my Mac computer using the USB port. I wanted to upload music and it did seem to freeze.

the best phone n i already own w800i before n its the same with diffrent design n its too small small for my hand becoz i am henry the giant n the screen abit small becoz my eyes too big but its still the best phone connecting to sony ericsson

Good phone, great features. Used this phone for about a week...however using the Cingular (old ATT) network this phone constantly dropped calls...even though it showed five bars....the call would just end with three beeps. Never had a problem like that with any other phone. Phone was returned soon thereafter...i'll wait on the nokia N80

hey playas who's reading right now,...i heard is a very good phone man,.. and i was wondeing if the joystick doesn't function like the k750i and w800,.. but i see it's better than w900... w810 has cool buttons and a pretty cool backside,..i was wondering if anyone can help me with this question : does the analog function right 4 always ? thank you 4 your help !!!

Servise providers uses normaly 2 bands If the servise provider uses gsm 850mhz and 1900mhz and u had an uther SE phone that dusent have 850 mhz it might of bin harder to get signal ,select bans and you areredy to go !

this is quad band phone just select the proper network and the proper bands in the network settings and depending where in the states and in canada where there is network coverage

the speaker has quality sound like the 6270 and a better camera...
as long as the speakers can play the bass loud from an mp3 i will consider this phone !
bk the camera resolution is the bestyou can find also after the review on the compareson of the d750 vs the 6280 2 mp camera i think SE comes out winner
are there enny addapters to plug the phone to my sound systeme ....like nokia has

nokias 6230 and the 6270 speakers plays more Bass and louder then enny other phone on the market !!!

SDRK: Have you bothed to check the pictures of this phone...i guess not, because if you had you would have seen theres no shutter on this.

Finally got my 02 online upgrade, did it through an 02 shop though, seems to be the much better option, and also I did not have to pay a penny for it!
Just playin around with it and it seems to be very good, couldnt ask for more.

To say:
I had the Nokia 6230 and its a 24 channel speaker and it sounds horrible compared to this W810i. Comparing the 2, the nokia sounded like a mono speaker and even after tunning the equalizer, it didnt help at all.
This W810i speaker is just quite impressive and sounds like true stereo sound.
My brother has the nokia 6270 with dual stereo speakers at 64 channels and he will be comming over for dinner tomorrow and i will compare the 2 and see how they come out.
And for andrew:
I purchased the 8 gig cause some moran said that this phone will see the 8 gigs and be able to use it. Well he was wrong cause it only saw 4. Anyways, its not a waste of money cause i threw it onto my sony digital camera and it was the 8 gigs. And it allows me 96 minutes of record time on an empty stick.

Why this one did only Polyphonic (40 channels) but the sound more beautiful than other like Nokia products build with Polyphonic (64 channels)?
Why this one not upgrade to Polyphonic (64 channels)?
