TO BIZZY
You can't compare this phone with samsungs. I've had samsungs for years and thought they were very good. Samsungs go for the looks whereas SE tend to go for functionality. This is my 1st sony ericsson and I must say I am not disappointed at all, in fact, I'm impressed. The sound quality is second to none. Yes, it would be nice if this phone was slimmer but would that compromise what's inside the phone!!!

what were SE thinking of? they have to do something about the size if they are to get a share of the slide up market.compare this with D900 which is 30g less!

Still waiting for a response as to when this phone will be available in South Africa.All the positive comments about this particular handset has got me wanting it so bad.Please assist urgently.

more comfortable to look at than any other..i like the color, size and the slide thing..if you love music and games ..buy it,,

It doesn't say on the spec but like the w830 this phone also comes with a free 1gb memory card.The phone is a bit ugly and feature-wise it's virtually the same as w810i but its a slider.

I forgot to mention, I've just bought a 2gb memory card for this little beauty as I've almost filled the 1gb that came with it! Have you tried out the track ID function yet? It's great isn't it?

I'm sorry, I don't know when the express covers will be available, if they are available at all! I'm trying to visualise how this phone would look and I'd probably just stick with the cover it came out on. I've got the gun metal grey version which is ok. I quite like the look of the white ones but I turned a white one down because I thought it might get grubby quickly. At least with black or grey, that won't happen! My hubby has the SE P990i and he loves that. It was his 1st SE. I'm getting my son the new SE W300i for Christmas. That is the flip version of this walkman. I've had a LOT of mobiles over the years and this 850i has proven to be the best yet, so that is saying something! Good luck with yours.

I can honestly hand on heart say that in 2 weeks I have not once hit the walkman key instead of the up nav key?!?
Please dont avoid this phone because of keying issue just go to local stockist and try for yourself.
I'd hate to think I would have missed out on this incredible phone because of something that has turned out to not be any trouble AT ALL for me.

the nav key up is too close to the walkman key.. everytime you hit it, it activates the walkman feature...

This phone is so sweet! I literally feel in love wit it when i first got it. I love everything about it. I just wish it had a video player just like it has the walkman feature, but other than that, it's great!! I plan on buying the bluetooth headphones for it soon, just cause im on the go all the time between skool and work. I dont want to ruin the headphones i got wit the package. The phone i had (Z800i), i went through 3 piar and it became pretty expensive. All of my friends say that they want one now,but they spent all their money on the Sidekick 3, not my preference at all, and now they have 2yr contracts and can't get out, guess it suck for them,huh?!!!

U sure did what a fone indeed, few of my friends have said its going to be there next fone, still working the whole SE thing out though after being so use to nokia's, Not come across any hidden features as yet,do you know when they are releasing some express on covers for it?

I bought this, good phone so far, but camera is unfortunately crap. I'd change to W810i which has autofocus and more beautiful picture can be taken.

anyone can confirm is the phone plays smoothly the mp4 video format (e.g. ipdo mp4 videos such as lost, etc.)
