The Sony Ericsson W880, that phone is ah desant phone,whereas u can browse on the internet where ever u are... Basically meaning it,s ah portable computer... And that's cool.

Hi all, I just got the w880 about two days ago, its a cool phone,serves my purpose, the buttons are a bit small which makes it a shlep for sms`s. Quick question? Why on earth is there a picture of a tree on my phone, what is this for? Cant find it anywhere in the user manual?

is 850 better than 880 ? depends what you want. If you want a small phone that works as a phone and mp3 player..then 880 is fine.
if you need a proper walkman phone (ie with radio), decent speakers, decent camera, flash/light, infra red, easy to use buttons. Then 850 is better. (at twice the size.
in regards to 4gb cards. I don't "think" that there is a sony m2 stick that is 4gb yet. I think the biggest is 2gb.

This Phone is very light and slim which makes it very easy to most people, along with all the function most people need! The bad things about this phone are the camera (2 megapixel) and the buttons, you need small hands to touch it easily, but over all this is one of the best phones now.

To me this phone is a designer phone and most likely those who love to sms is not suitable to use this phone cos the buttons are really very diff to press.

To me, its like an Ipod nano, with a camera, internet and looks great. For someone who's had a brick all their life it makes a great upgrade, the fact this phone fits in my wallet also means its not getting damaged, and it will look cool for ages to come, there won't be many decent competitors with it size wise for a while. It is a fashion statement too, and does have a wow factor for its beauy. Just like the fact the nokia n80 has the wow factor because its like a mini laptop and camera.
All depends on what you like!

ok.. so we're agreeing with each other then.
The phone is nice looking and slim. The slimness is at the expense of certain functions which may or may not be important to users
To me, the size does not make up for what you lose and I don't like the way the the existing features work as well (ie speakers, media player, bluetooth)
so for ME, MY OPINION is that the w810i is a better phone than the w880.
Now i hope that makes it clear to everyone that they it's ok for people to have different opinions. that there doesn't have to be a right or wrong opinion. that to not like a particular phone doesn't make you stupid.

deer mick , u said right that site is for us to express our opinions ... not every one has the same choice...so if u dont like it than its ur own choice but i was just trying to say that the fone has no flash , no zoom and no radio bcoz of its slim shape...just for a sec compare this set [shape wise] vid fat ugly nokia sets . how difference in the size it would b.....and listen care fully shape matters . ok

I have had 1 ov these 4 just over a month, they great, small, light weight and smart, camera is good quality, walkman has gud volume, i would recomend it!

Im not misguiding anyone. All i am saying is that for me, it's not a great phone. I agree it looks great, and it's small, but the smallness is at the expense of features. For me, the sacrifice is too great, for others it may be fine.
Why is it that you can't express an opinion these days ?
Grow up people. This site is not a SonyEricsson fan club. It's so people can express an opininon about a phone so others can make an informed decision.

i just had the w850 and now i have the w880 and for sure that the w850 has more features than 880 but the w880 is very confterble. i prefer the w880 its desing is way cooler and better than the big fat w850

volume is normal like the all walman series phones have and battery life is excellent a way better than the nokia phones...its the best

The speaker volume is ok but the sound is can-like. The volume at the headset is good, you can never be wrong with SE when it comes to music in mobiles especially in their Walkman models.

The only good thing about this Motorola SLVR W880i is the size. Oh........ and the 'display', which is beaten by my k800. This is supposed to be a music phone, and the sound quality is abysmal. The camera focal length is tiny, and it could do with a flash and autofocus. The lack of Infrared is a major disappointment, but I am not too fussed about the lack of a radio because it has 1GB of memory. My little brother's K750i is easily better than this. Who needs UMTS?
