and nick, a 3.5 mm port would be nice, but i can live with it, and i can listen to radio, use mike etc.
But if its important to you, its fine. but you could always strap a bluetooth headset with 3.5mm to the phone :P, or permanently attach a tiny 3.5mm adapter.

NICK! just give it up k? i have shot down every point you have ever made, and you still come up with the same points. You are wasting my time, your time, and everyone elses time. This is just annoying now. I CBA to rebbut points i have already rebutted. so just go and comment in the nokia forum, or come up with new material. You have lost the fight.
I actually have a life, and really don't want to have to spend time i could be revisin for my A levels, rebutting you.

In actual fact, the w960i can do most of what the N95 can do equally, and in some parts better. The only areas currently better in N95 are:
    *camera
    *flash lite
    *gps
*hmmm... nothing else i think of.

    Why is the w960i better?
    *walkman player is gr8
    -moods
    -free track ID
    -star rating
    -gr8 quality
    -actually decent visualizations.
    *fantastic touch screen
    *looks so goooood
    *gr8 included headphones
*built in business software, for editing
*3 ways of actual predictive (as in full words come up, more than petty t9), spell checking text input
    *thin, not a brick ;)
*megabass is in my opinion better than nokias, but it is an opinion based thing.
*i love the jogdial too actually
*in fact, i love the phone.
*there's probably more but hey. AND NICK, ur r just getting annoying! its opinion! you want a camera, go for n95, you want music, go for w960i. (Y) ok? its all good man, just leave us to our own opinion

lets agree to disagree on this one eh nick?

      um, no zed. lol

anyway...no i honestly cant see how the music player on the w960 is better than the one on the n95. I know its touch screen and stuff which makes it a bit more fun, but its no better functioning. In the music player on my phone, i can stream the music to anything wifi enabled. its cool stuff like that.

im sorry to reiterate this point again and again, but when i had my old LG "music phone" it needed an adapter and i hated it and saw no point. I always forgot to take it and it proved a right pain in the ***. So why cant sony erricsons big "music phone" at least allow you to use your personial headphones, instead of making you plug in a daft adapter which nobody likes.

btw i do think the w960 looks better, i meant dated in terms of specs.

Dude, you're clutching at straws now. The N95 looks like a VCR next to the W960. It's a chunky monkey. Don't get me wrong - it's still pretty cool looking, but it's fat. On the other side, the W960 has a very minimalist, sleek smooth and shiny look to it. Very reminiscant of '90s sci-fi. Both look cutting edge in a retro style - the N95's chunkiness reminds me of early video games consoles. All of this is purely from a design aesthetic point of view.

And dude, don't get me wrong - The N95 is a great sounding handset. I don't doubt for a second that you love it. But in my experience the W960 sounds that little bit better. Like i said before, my girlfriend has an N95 8GB and we both feel the same way about this debate - the N95 does more than the W960. Most things that the W960 does, the N95 does better. BUT - and this is the crucial thing for me - the music player on the W960 is one thing that it does better than the N95. And the music player is, for me, the most important 'extra feature' of a phone. I personally prefer the touch screen interface, now that I'm used to it, but I can understand why many don't like it. I'm not trying to berate you for being a nokia fan - i respect your choices, I just feel that you are wrong when you say that the N95's music player is better than the W960's is all...

well i think the quality is absolutely outstanding on my n95 so shut up!

why cant u accept the w960 looks so dated next to the n95.

              four words...

              it doesnt do anything!

Nick, I've listened to both a W960 and an N95 8GB with both walkman headphones AND 3rd party headphones. On both tests the W960 sounded better. Smells to me like you're full of something...

                        @nick

N95 8GB is Next Level . its twice next level becuase it does soooooo much More

and Yes Bass Booster on N-Series is good to.

MegaBass isnt just any naffy Equaliser, when tthe Walkman earphones are in your ears and its set to MegaBass there sooooooo Much BASS it sounds like a Live Concert!

surely nokia n95 8gb is the "next level" because it does more, and everything is does, it does better than the w960.

                          quite substantially.

what the hell is megabass anyway. There is a bass booster option on the n95 music player so i guess thats the same thing right?

i think headphones have alot to do with bass too. its quite convenient being able to PLUG IN WHICHEVER ONES WE WANT.

by fighting for nokia, more people might buy them and then everyone is happy in unison with their nokias. plus if more people take interest, we get more applications and stoof :)
