what in the name of the phone god is this hate this-hate that posts???to each his own goofballs!every unit has its own strength and AFIs,no unit's perfect or we won't be needing review craps anymore- thanks to the money-making scheme of phone companies and their sushi RnD depts.let's just try to outwit the other by posting the best part of each units- be it the cam,OS,connectivity, package options/price,media/display etc...btw, given the chance, i'll take a w960i on one hand and an n82 on the other.love both phones.

Yes nokia has lots of features but thats why they are so buggy, my colleague rerturned N95

after two weeks because it was hanging like hell, because nokia have stuffed so much into it

that it has become almost pain in the a** to use it.
Stability is a luxury that nokia often ignores and thats what counts most, my W81oi has not

even hanged once in one year and seven months, how many nokia fanboys claim that??
Yes I did used xs++ once but now I have copied all the stuff to my phone and don't need to

connect that software everytime I want to make a change, mobyexplorer is a great app that

enables me to edit all my files.
ID3 tag??avi and mpeg files??WTF??? I have a pc as well unlike you who may have just a

mobile, I can convert any file instantly to watch in my mobile so whats the big deal??And

mind you most of the videos available for mobiles are already in 3gp or mp4 format and I

never felt any need to convert video files because everything is available in these two

    formats.
16m?? compare a W950 with ANY nokia phone THEN tell me how much the difference is, Yesterday

I compared W850 and nokia 6300 and 5610...guess what???no difference or VERY small

difference that can only be spottted if you look REAL close at a picture with a mind set to

differentiate between the two, in most of the cases no one can make much difference.

Except N91 I have listened to many nokias, can your nokia sound like W810?? No..mayne only

in ur dreams..Yes SE has lower video resolution but I don't understand why it makes nokia

better, SE has better sound so it makes SE beter..right???its a useless debate, if nokia has

good veideo resolution then SE has better sound, nokia has 16m colors then SE has better cameras, nokia has ID3-tag, SE has megabass which is a classic and beats the hell out of any nokia sound.
You see....its a never ending debate...just stop declaring here that nokia has this and that..because we don't care...for us SE fans nokia is crap and will remain crap. Amen

I'm very happy with my purchase of the W960i, it was quite a bit of money to fork out but I've always been happy with the stability and user friendliness of SE phones. I'm still a classic text-er and P1's bizzare keypad was a no-no for me even if it was much cheaper.

The music player is amazingly easy to use, only problem is it's not Mac friendly so I have to manually edit my playlists on the phone but it lets you group by date added so no problem. PC users should have no problem.

I've only tried the nokia E65 and now the SE W960 smart phones and even though both being symbian my E65 crashed a couple of times while my W960 has yet to hang in the same period of time. Luckily nokias have good resale value, so it's happy happy for everyone.

Form factor: I've always been a minimalist and candybar phones do it for me. The weight is reassuring male and it's actually quite solid except for the battery cover which is creaky. Personally I think the W960 matches my personality better with functionality over form. In fact I was tempted by Samsung's beauty of a U700 but reason prevailed.

This phone will replace my iPod and pocket camera easily. A phone that makes me feel dressed for success and ready to take the day on. Plus being a frequent traveler the 3G and WiFi will come in handy especially with Fring!

That was a loudness test, and they didn't even turn on Stereo Widening on N81.
Read what it says just above the results though. :-)

So you took 5300 and 5610? Not even 5700? Hmmm. . . . Anyway il leave the biasd testing, you haven't tested a N91,5700,or N81. Nokia's sound without the DSP aint great we all know that, yet with it its the benchmark eg N91 for music phones.
I never said anything about the 2mp cameras of Nokia being better so WTF you get that from huh? And also 3mp i know K800 and K810 lead in this department and ive said so before so why bring it up??? Please tell???
            You're flooding thats it.
The 16mill colours makes quite the diff IMO, put my N81 screen next a P1 and N80 and the N81 is a lot more colourful and a live the N80 just had a smoother look cause of its 352x416 res screen and P1 was average.
OH! And Nokias SUPPORT FLASH THEMES by the way. I can even just install flash files and get the themes oh and make themes rite here on my N81 without having to use a PC to hack using PhoneXS++ OR FarManager like with that lil W810 of yours. If you don't need an OS then why are you here? Go back to your Javas, can your W810 Walkman edit ID-3 Tags on it? Can W810 play avi? Mpeg1 and2? Can it play ogg? Can it even play 240x320 movies at 30fps? Can it even run more than TWO java apps at a time? Please dont talk to me as if your W810 is better i skippd that lil thing and had a W900 anyway. The only great thing about W810 is that cam it shares with W800,K750, P990 and W900.

              @ Tsepz_N81
I have been reading your claims to declare nokia as the best so I decided to tell you my personal experiences as a user.
First of all music, I have not tested N91 so can't say much about it except it was a failure due to its huge size, bad display and ugly design, but I have tested N73me, 5310 and 5610 and let me tell you that SE has FAR better sound than these nokia phones, my old W810i still produces much better sound than all these sets and if a 2 year old set can beat latest mobile phones aimed at music then I am sure W960 will be even better. The base in SE phones is soooo good that any song played sounds extremely good. And mind you I even tried my SE earphones with 5310 but it still sounds nothing compared to W810i.
Secondly cameras, I can challange any nokia fan boy to compare the 2MP cameras of K750, W800 and W810 with any 2MP camera of nokia, you will be surprised how good are SE cames, in 3MP K800 and K810 are still the best camera phones EVER, only N95 5MP is generating good reviews and I have not tested K850 so I can't tell for now.
Now for the symbian OS, well I have put evey option that I need in my w810i WITHOUT any symbian OS, I have password protected my phone, upgraded cam and sound drivers(not factory made or through firmware upgrade) put such beautiful flash themes that will make any nokia phone turn red with embarassment, and all this has been done with much more technical way than simply installing a symbian application, there goes your "techies like nokia because its symbian" claim, not everyone in this world need symbian oS, and believe me people who I know that are using nokia phones, for them symbian os only means installing smart movie player to watch different videos, I mean not every nokia fan uses the symbian os except installing smart movie and 2,3 other softs like this, for them symbian is just a brand name which they use very less. So please stop declaring that symbian is a must or everyone and thats why nokia wins.
About the 16m color display, let me tell u something about this pathetic claim that 16m is too good and 256k is nothing, the truth is that the difference in 16m and 256k is sooo small that I consider it extremely foolish to provide 16m colors on a tiny mobile screen which only kills battery and nothing else. I have compare many SE phones with Nokia and in SOME pictures a little difference was there but in most of the pictures there was no difference or even if it was, it was impossible to spot that difference on a mobile screen, infact as far as the colors are concerened, sets like W950 and W580 screens even beat nokia screens in terms of vibrant colors and more appealing to eyes look.
So your claim about the better display hold no water since there is VERY small difference in SOME pictures and many SE sets have much better display when it comes to color, I repeat the difference between 16m and 256k on a mobile screen is so small that its useless to use 16m colors.

Somebody asked if the W960i is hard to use because it doesn't have joystich.

Well, the W960i has a full 2.6 inch touchscreen wich can be used with your fingers, with the stylus, with the Jog Dial and with the keypad numbers! Feel me? Its very easy

About the W960i speaker, it is the loudest of all WALKMAN phones and louder than the NOKIA N73. I don't know about other phones

The HTC is for business and its profesional and the W960i is a multimedia phone but it can be used for business because it has preinstalled the Quick Office v.3.6.61.2 wich can create and edit Word and Excel documents with the logical expresions like SUM, AVERAGE etc. The W960i can also view PDF files and has a Business Card Scanner. Also with the stylus it is extremely easy to do all kimd of jobs. Also the W960i has not a QWERTY keyboard but it has a QWERTY virtual keyboard with all the symbols, numbers and other keys like space, enter, tab etc.
The handwrighting recognition works much better than i expected! It is fast, doesn't lag and great if want to type something fast and long! The W960i has also the Exchange ActiveSync which is based oth the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Activesync protocol and provides secure wireless and direct push synchronization of corporate Outlook email, calendar, contacts and attachments.

The P1 is a serius and one of the best business phones in the market, which has QWERTY keybord, and more business functions than the W960i.

You can also check the NOKIA 390 Communicator with HSDPA, WIFI, GPS, WIDESCRENN DISPLAY 352x800 pixels and 3.2amera! QWERTY KEYBOARD, but it is very big...

Sorry but ive used a few HTCs and W960 so thought i could just give my opinion. The Touch Cruize must be the BEST Touch only HTC with HSDPA, EDGE, TouchFLO, WiFi b and g, being able to sync very well to a Windows PC etc. . . If you are mainly a Business user id suggest a HTC -TC but for Multimedia (music, videos, camera, movies etc. . .) i suggest W960 not that its not good as a business phone but cause this is true HTC teritory where they tear apart even BlackBerry. SE's use Outlook to sync and this does causes problems after a while and a lot dont like it, its your choice though.
                      SP
Id say get W960, its got everything the P1 has (except for QWERTY board) plus 8GB Flash Memory, Walkman3, it looks better and is louder. If you do type a lot of E-mails and prefer a QWERTY then get P1.

N73 ME speaker is louder than W960i.
But clarity , W960i is better.
But louder is still N73 ME,

W910i loud speaker is poor. infact K530i loudspeaker is much clearer than W910i.

And the best thing is that you can get K530i at 0 plan.

To me and my kind of usage both W960 and Touch Cruise are the ultimate. I was about to get W960 but may just wait a month or two for TC.

                                Any thoughts on TC?

Thats good, don't you find Eldar's review a bit harsh? I read it a while ago and didn't want a W960 after that then i got to try a W960 two months ago also proto but had final fw so it was basicaly a retail version.
Man 50Cents best album was Get Rich Or Die Tryin' , G-Unit were SO HUNGRY for success now katz is fed and fat they making all the songs that they Dissd Ja'Rule for making.

Great! I've read also Eldars review and downloaded almost all pics he took about the W960i.
PeterKay has compared the W960i with some (not all) Nokia phones, like the N73. He told also that the W960i speaker is louder than N73.

But i noticed that each review differs much! I'm talking about all the reviews i have read in the internet.
Anyway, the only one sure thing is that the best and most reliable review is the final owner...

Eldar on the other hand is VERY WELL KNOWN AND RESPECTED IN THE MOBILE INDUSTRY. He gives very good reviews and tells it like it is, he can be harsh. He tests A VERY wide variety of phones and knows EXACTLY what his talking about. Not that PK doesn't thou.
