J K, 24 Sep 2009Just got my W995, while playing around, don't know what I h... moreE means that your network is EDGE enabled which is faster than GPRS. May be you have blocked all incoming calls under Manage Calls menu under Call settings. If you have done it then it will show a red icon with arrow. You can post your problem at esato with the shot of your screen. Do the master reset for settings only.

Just got my W995, while playing around, don't know what I have done but my phone cannot be contacted now, it does not ring and those who call me hear an engaged tone. On the screen, I noticed an 'E' next to the 5 bars on the top left corner of the sceen. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Thank you.

Actually, disregard the comment about Wayfinder. Tried it again and it's working now.

I got the w995 on Monday and haven't been able to put it down! It's fantastic. The most I've ever spent on a mobile and I don't regret my decision at all. Unfortunately, Wayfinder doesn't seem to work for me. Well, it loads fine but is unable to pinpoint my location. I always get the message 'GPS not ready', which is odd because I have no problems with Google Maps. Other than that, no other problems really. Sound is great, camera is good. Battery seems to last forever. Build quality is top notch, feels solid and light in hand and looks good (I got the black version).

why does the GPS license lasts for 3 months only ??is this for nokia phones too or what ??
will this affect the navigation and wayfinder ??

Hey guys...
i need serious help... i bought a w890i following the comments on gsmarena, but my fon's been in the service centre since the past 5 months...the ringer stopped working twice...
i need to know all the cons of this phone...is the ringer ok? or does it stop working after a while too..??
is the loud speaker loud enough and can the opposite party actually hear u?? coz on the w890 it was impossible for the other person to hear me while i was in loud speaker while driving...
please reply asap...

Touchscreen phones need lot of care. Here say if your keypad does not work you just have to repair it but there you have to change the whole screen.

I compared the w995 with n86 and decided that I made the right choice in purchasing the w995. Just the looks, casing, and name makes it seem much more high class (even though the price was slightly cheaper than n86 at the store, though price wasn't on my mind.).
I accidentally dropped my w995 from a ladder at about 5ft in height onto a hardwood floor and was afraid I would damage it internally and cosmetically. When I inspected it, everything was still perfect, without any scratches or dents!
I'm only not happy with the fact that I always need to have a silicon casing on it to protect the stickers from falling off.
