Plz let me know so that i can reset after ICS update, coz camera is one of my favourate aspects of buying this phone i don't want to compromise it.

Today I've uninstalled Opera mobile which was around 25MB in file size. I've installed "Dolphin browser" instead, which is only around 4MB. I found it's faster and smoother than Opera mobile. Now I've got some more free space in my Arc S.

Have this phone, it has a big screen and it is thin. However, why can't this be upgraded to Jelly Bean?

guyz is there any way to get gingerbread back without rooting the phone. cos i dont want to root the phone as it voids warranty and also i don't like ICS :'-(

Hey ! i have got this set i found 3 main and bombastic problems
1: Battery is very poor i am plaing game Baloons on it
and i have to recharge it even 2 times in a day.
2: GPS is very bad it lose the signal after 5 or 6 minute. and i have to run GPS FIXER again and again.
3: RAM is not sufficiant to give room all the app I NEED.
it is also first exeperiance for me to use the Android! it have very good appearance but I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BATTERY EATER PROGRAME LIKE THIS ONE IN MY LIFE. Many apps starts in background even if you have never open it. Apps are not UNDERCONTROL.

Goren.GM, 17 Aug 2012Just in case you didn't know, Sony has released a new "... moreThe big problem with Sony ICS updates is that they are keeping the old 2.6.32 linux kernel, so it doesn't matter how new the version they say it is, their kernel is OUDATED. The 4.1.B.0.587 update that you mentioned is still an ICS 4.0.4 with some tweaks (but still full of BLOATWARE) and an old 2.6.32.9 kernel, that's why there's no reason to expect a radical increase in the OS performance. To prove what I say, take a look at CM 7(Gingerbread) which uses a superior 2.6.35 kernel and CM 9(ICS) which uses a 3.x kernel. In short, stick to GB 2.3.4 or take a shot and try CM. I bet for the second one.

Just in case you didn't know, Sony has released a new "updated" version of ICS (4.1.B.0.587) for some 2011 models. It corrects (supposedly) some audio playback and video recording problems present in the previous ICS 4.0.4. I have installed it but I don't see any significant improvement whatsoever... laggish performance remains and battery consumption seem to have increased. Veredict: Stay away from the official ICS for Xperia 2011 phones and stick to GB 2.3.4 or better, try CM7.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2012i hate this phone! reset automatic every minuets! dont buy ... moreyour phone got some problem doesn't necessarily mean that every Arc S got the same problem. Try a factory reset first, if it doesn't work then it's time to claim warranty.
