can anyone tell me how to uninstall an update from xperia mini....??i have faced some problem with the new 5/10/11 update..weneva i unlock it..the the screen flickers for some moment..which was working fine before installing the update.

AnonD-8312, 05 Oct 2011If you want good headphones for listening to music, get a g... moreyeah well i too hav a sennheisser cx 300....but then....its good to hav a collection of nice headphones....nd by what i've seen in reviews.....the livesound headphones r really good.....nd well...the ray nd mini and for that matter...even arc or neo.....they all might hav the same hardware....but no where has been the declaration of the audio chip used...they might be different...in different phones that is......moreover....nowdays....within the same phone companies put different audio chips.....for eg....a large number of galaxy s2's hav come with yamaha DAC....nd few also have come with the Wolfson DACs.....nd nowhere u'll find the DAC name specified anywhere....well whatever u said might also be true...that they might hav got a defective piece.....but still.....the ray also doesn't hav a flsh...its got video light which has to be turned on maually.....so i guess its a bit of a turn off too.....:(...nyways....i guess u r right tht it all boils down to one single thing....nd tht is ur own preference........

The headset included in the retail package of any mobile phone is a very low quality one. So I couldn't care less for the livesound or whatever, and I would advise anyone else to not care too. Like I said, the choice between the neo and the ray is upto you- If you don't particularly want a small phone (personally, I prefer a small one) and can make do with a weaker camera, go for the neo-its not bad by any means. If you want a better camera, and smaller dimensions, get the ray. And the audio quality as given in GSMarena is probably a mistake. From all the specs, you can see that the mini and the ray use the exact same audio chip. So, the distortion while using headphones should be the same in both. Maybe they just got a defective piece, or it was an error with their instruments. These things are just mere tidbits anyway: if you want music quality, get a good pair of headphones: I know because I too have used SE walkman headphones a long time ago, and when I moved to my Sennheiser MX-760, the difference was unbelievable. I also use a HD-210 headphones, but the mini can't drive them as well as the iPod Touch can.

[deleted post]yeah well ray wud hav been a gud deal if theyy had included the live hi fi sound headset inbox....as in UK...but we aren't fortunate enough here in india to get it inbox.....:(....so....i'd rather go with the neo v for the screen size.......besides.....on the xperia ray review on gsmarena.....its audio output hasn't been all that well appreciated...particularly with headphones...with volume dropping down to a large extent nd stuff....so i guess it wud be wise to hav a look at the neo v review nd then decide......

Today I just bought my SE Mini. Haven't tested it throughly but I'm praying to cellphone gods that my chubby little handset be spared from the problems discussed here.

AnonD-7027, 05 Oct 2011i doubt its a software problem..but hopefully it is, so tha... moreIf that portion of your touchscreen never works (for eg, you cannot unlock your phone ever, or any icon in that region does not work), then it is a hardware problem. But if that problem only persists when you get a call, then it is a firmware problem.

Don't listen to people who say to hold it at an angle of 135 degrees or whatever. Whenever your finger will hover over the light sensor, the display will become a little darker, and as soon as your finger is no longer over the sensor, the screen will become a little brighter. This is because there is no setting in the phone to stop automatic backlight adjustment. There is no severe flickering problem whatsoever. Whoever says otherwise does not really have the phone, and is probably another sammy fanboy. You will barely realise its there, and even if you do, its so faint that you won't bother.

all the ppl considering to buy mini.......just hang on...the neo v has launched and it hardly costs 4 grands more than mini....3.7 inches.....854*480 pixels....hopefully no problems as its got hardware keys...so...u wud be rather better off with the neo v...:)

Now my set is facing another problem when i click on setting or on some other option it automatically close down or come back...is it bcoz of the reason i am downloading applications but i am also using anti virus but my problem is still thier so what,s the solution for it...Is my set will be replaced as now its 20 days old or what should i do..?

Hey Guys!! I have one more doubt!!! Some of them mentioned abt Flickering problem.. becoz of sensor present in this phone.. some of them also mentioned solution for this problem.. Solution is tilt the some degree(90 or 180) some thing like that.. Is it possible to keep your phone for some direction or some degree all the time.. My question is there's any option to adjust sensor in phone itself or we have to keep some degree to solve this flickering problem??? plz tell me

I've had this phone for a few weeks now and I love it! I'm now definitely a Sony Ericsson fan! They've done an incredible job with this little device, phone is a complete joy to use and music playback quality is superb. Text input is enhanced from the learning predictive text soft keyboard. I love the size as I wanted something easily pocket-able. The only tiny annoyance is sometimes launching the wrong thing as it's incredibly sensitive. The small screen may put some people of, but it's got great resolution and something I'll happily put up with to have such a small profile device.
I was a bit apprehensive about getting this phone due to the problems reported here, but so far I've not experienced any issues. The device has surpassed my expectations by a long shot! Well done Sony Ericsson - keep up the excellent standard!

Ysday I purchased ... more1) To view data in memory card, install Astro File Manager from Android Market.
2)The music videos will not show up in the gallery video player if they are not in mp4 format. The phone does not natively support divx, xvid, etc. But you can play them using a player from the market: try MOBOplayer. You can play video files through it, or using Astro file manager, navigate to the folder where you placed the videos, and play them: the phone will ask you whether to play using moboplayer or through the native player.
