hi all, im planning to buy this phone on next week,before that i need to knw few things abt this phone.
1) Skype will suport this phone for video call?
2) Hows the audio clarity on headphone compair with nokia N series?
3) Is it possible to instal games that download from sites like getjar,zedge etc?
4) Which all video format will it support?
5) Flash light can use as a torch light like nokia got ?

just a guess.. i think the clicking noise in the video could be due to the continous autofocus that works while shooting video.. some camera's do such clicking/static noise when continous autofocus is enabled..!!

this can mean some favorable progress!
mine is also 11W31 bought it yesterday... (and 2 other 11W31 were noisy too...)

Got my replacement this morning and it is '11w31.
Viedeo recording static noise still happens.
phones4u in the UK have told me that all the xperia mini pro's have been 'quarantined' meaning they have been sent back to manufacurer, which I could pretty much guess because of the above issue.

Again concerning the xLoud,
I noticed that at volume level below 70% it did make the sound louder! xLoud fails when I set the sound volume 100%.

PLEASE check your phones if you have the frequent noise problem described next by recording a short video in relatively silent environment and listen to the playback on higher volume, you'll hear a strange, relatively loud static noise
UPDATE: It's enough to put the phone's up-right part (where the jack's hole is) to your ear, when the screen is active - this means it's continuous when your screen is active, not just limited to video recording!:
I received my Xperia Mini Pro yesterday. Unfortunately as many of the existing and potential buyers, I also became aware of the problem that our Xperia Mini Pro has got a strange electrical-static background noise in the up-right corner of the device (as far as I could figure it out, when the screen is on), you can hear it, and this doesn't promise any good concerning the long term operation of the phone.
This problem has been detected weeks ago, when many users heard on playback that they recorded sth strange static noise on their video, however, apart from dim sentences on some investigation, so far we didn't get any clarification from SonyEricsson on any steps towards solution.

Incapable of "VIDEO CALL" over 3G Network, since Google Talk is not supported hence for "Video Chat" app like Skype is needed.

I meant it's written on the phone and if you remove the battery you can see it.
it's something like 11W30 = means produced on 2011 week 30th..

And i want to know this-does all xperia mini pro have the problem with xloud? :( and one more thing whats up with that battery number? what is the use of that battery number i dont get it. pleas let me know about it

ahmed, 27 Aug 2011Is there motion gaming in Xperia mini pro?The preloaded contains are vary, depend on retail configuration. Mine got 3 games in it - PvZ, Peggle and Chuzzle. All are trial version. Not yet played them. So i don't know if one of them is motion game.
