1.) how long battery life?minimal usage?gaming?music?
2.) how about the screen quality brigthness good or bad?
3.) this is made plastic material how the quality easy to scratch or not?
4.) Not made by gorilliaz glass, how about the quality of screen?
5.) 5MP camera hd or no?it has touch focus?
6.) its true the videocall not working in this device even it has secondary camera?
7.) only 400mb internal memory any setting to set memorycard as default memory?
8.) 512mb ram how many remaining ram?
9.) how about the gaming performance? Very smooth without lagg or no?
10.) it is has flash support no?how about the speed when open website?

this phone is really nice i bought from 2 month ago really its cool and dont belive any 1 who says that this phone is not good

I just wanted to throw out there that I do not think the iPhone is superior in any way. I was just questioning how I could have it for 3 years and not a scratch on it with no case and no screen protector. Yet never dropped and only thing ever being in my pocket the play has many (not deep) scratches.
I have addressed the signal issue with SE but they returned my phone back to me after having it in for repair for 3 weeks. When I called back they tell me its a known signal issue. Also 2 of my buddies have the same device with the signal issue. Leads to believe its a device issue not localized to just my handset.
I still use the Play and enjoy the openness of the android OS as compared to the iPhone. These are just some issues I've had with mine

1. Clean out your pockets, they are probably dirty with iphone dust, a filthy dirty dust that can scratch decent phones..
Fit a screen protector, one came in the box, or buy one.
Fit a case..some items weren't meant to just be slung in a pocket..and I bet the iphone looked garbage too..unless you bought a case, which would beg, why complain about the SEXP if you haven't a case...
For it locking, and for the no signal isue, I reckon you have a faulty phone, or fautly or mis-installed OS. I would look to getting it repaired.
The vibration thing, is called "haptic feedback", you have to unselect it.
Brightness - newest update adds auto brightness selection, and with it off, my screen is brighter than before.

I've had the play since the release date and to be honest I think it was a bad decision. Sure it has sweet games and can play my N46 game from when I was a kid. But I no longer play any games after the first month. I do like the message indicator on the power button, it allows me see if I received a message or incoming call without looking at the screen.
Some issues I have with the phone:
Its not made of gorilla glass!
I had an iPhone 3G for 3 years and it was the only thing I ever put in my front left pocket. I employed the same procedure with the Xperia play yet it has tones of micro scratches and make discolored lines on the screen because of them.
It locks up constantly. No matter the application, It can be messaging, music, web browsing, Facebook, placing/receiving calls
Even though I set it to never vibrate, it still always does. Even when I'm typing something. Feels very strange to vibrate as I type and the sound is irritating
Brightness; Don’t even bother trying to use this phone when the sun is out. When outside you can not see the screen unless you shade it under something no matter the brightness setting.
Signal; Apparently its a known issue a Sony tech tells me. There will be times when I get no signal for a day span no matter where I am in the city, no 3G no wifi nodda. Not to mention anyone that I talk to tells me I sound like I’m in a tin can, and that’s only if the call doesn’t drop
Lastly I cannot connect it to the Sony sync to update. No matter the computer I use it on as I have tried to load an update on 3 PCs and a Mac
In the end I believe I made a hastily decision on purchasing this phone, and now I’m stuck with it until I can upgrade in 30 months......
Hope my personal review will help any potential Xperia play buyers make and educated decision before purchasing this device.

Love this phone, all the apps i want as well as a slide out gaming function, brilliant.
Also i find that even when using it through out the day i get a good 2 days batt life, whichi isnt bad.

when you play a video on this phone and you tilt the phone to the left the video become in landscape mode, but if you tilt the phone to the right does the video become in landscape mode also and be able to watched or it will be inverted ?
