I have the worst experience with this phone. I bought it after a long wait with so much anxiety but got really disappointed. Within few weeks I got the hardware problem and went for service nearly 5 times and finally they replaced with the new one. Then the new one had the software problem. I am really pissed off with this phone

And what you're comparing against for a similar processing? Of course a 10mb .doc file will open faster on my 2.2GHz Core2Duo Macbook than on this phone.

Hey guys,
Anyone experienced this problem that I am having with my phone?
The cable that connects the headphones to my mobile, I thought, was faulty. Only once in a while I could use the button on the cable to take an incoming call and speak into the microphone on it. All other times the button wont work, and the microphone wont work, so I have to speak into the phone's microphone. Sometimes when the button/microphone on the cable does work, the call would get disconnected in about 10-15 seconds.
I was quite sure that it was the cable which was faulty. Until I exchanged my cable with a friend who also has an X1 (Good thing he didn't mind that). He says the cable works fine for him. And now when I'm using his cable, I seem to still have the same issue.
Before trying my friend's cable, I was almost sure that my cable was faulty. I talked to CPW (the shop) asking them to replace it under warranty, but they will not replace it as accessories are not covered under warranty. Anyway, it now seems pretty certain that there's something wrong with my handset itself.
Anyone else experienced this problem? Any solution? I'm on the UK Generic R2A ROM (BTW, had this problem even with the original R1A ROM). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And try AdHoc mode in the laptop..if u wnt to connect the X1 to a laptop via wifi...it needs a little tweekin...

Try installing resco explorer..it can map shared drives on any network to which the pda is connected...it worked g8t on my omnia..

*my laptop is Sony VAIO ,FW series...
i mean can Laptop be a router.(server)

hi i have recently flashed my x1 rom with windows 6.5 custom rom its seems working perfectly fine also original rom is good but 6.5 is the best and quite thumb freindly as well.

Just a thing or 2...if you ever purchase this phone...do not ever have it anything but unlocked! And make sure you buy a cover for it because after alot of use the black paint on the titanium back starts to fade. Watch out that you dont squish your phone even a little bit because the sliding up and down will start to scratch on some of the letters..the blue function key especially. One more thing sometimes the 'm' letter doesnt work..well 1/6 times you press it...but by the time you encounter that problem you'll be a bullet with the txting anyways as it is SOOO easy to get use to. And the 'v' is acting up too...you can also avoid any of these problems of course by simply NOT dropping your phone..ya haha...i did that...broke my heart. The touch screen is WONDERFUL! The phone is simply all round a perfect phone. If you have any questions bout it, performance wise....not hardcore tech questions..but anything to do with using the phone...feel free to ask me, ive had mine since december...and everytime i turn it on, and you get that lil vibrate to say its turning on...i smile every time :)

@vGSH - just wait for the release of XPERIA X2 to exchange your HTC Touch Pro. X2 is even more powerful with a massive 3.5" screen. I am using X1 and also waiting for X2. But if you want to exchange it now, it's worth it because X1 is fantastic.

Hey Guys,
I'm using HTC Touch Pro from last 4 months. It's a good phone. One of my friend is using X1 from last 3 months, he is asking to exchange our phones. He is keen to use Touch Pro. I do like Sony Ericsson phones but I'm confused now. Kindly guide me is it worth exchanging my Touch Pro with X1 ?

When charging the phone in switched off condition where is the battery charging indicator on the screen. I cant see any. Also please tell about websites from where I can get softwares for the phone.

Hi ppl.. I am buying X1 tomorrow and I'm really excited about it.. I heard about the case cracking on models made in 2008 (weeks 44-46), so it was a big relief for me when I saw that my future X1 is made in 2009.. But then I also heard that there are complains about case cracking on models made in 2009 also -.-'
So I just hope that I won't get one of those "bad quality" phones..
