I had this phone and returned it next day. The keyboard slides out easily when you grab the phone. WinMo OS freezes often. It is hard to make a call using a resistive touch screen. Panels are buggy, they have problems with screen refresh and freeze the phone when you operate them. Overall the UI of WinMo is not optimized for small touch screen and fast use of a phone, it was dedicated for a PDA with stylus (it has too small graphical controls painted for finger touch). Get a Blackberry and see how easy and logic is to navigate among its menus although you don't even have a touch screen. For a phone its reliability and fast manipulation are the keys of success and here WinMo is out of discussion.

Symbian 3rd party applications are really very poor, even more so when compared with WM fantastic software library. Anyone tried Documents To Go Premium Edition 3.0?

To others..Softmaker Office is a phenomenal desktop class suite, simply awesome and absolutely NO symbian application comes anywhere close to it.

We have $700 phone, but cannot open a "password protected (locked of editing)" document, received on mail.What use is Windows software, if it does not support "edit protected" files?
Windows cant do it, but Symbian supports it.

If you are on a tight budget, then u'll surely feel this is an expensive phone. And the truth is, yes it is one of the most expensive phones in the market today. Whether it's worth it? You'll get mixed response to this query - it is very subjective. So, you would yourself have to judge that.
Regarding your other GENERIC query about advantages/disadvantages - you need to spend some time reading the posts people have on this forum rather than posting the same question that has been asked a hundred times before. There are loads and loads of reviews with first hand experience. So give it a little time, it'll only help you make an informed decision.

thank you for the reply asd n ray uk. was thinking of the htc touch pro as a replacement but heard that suffers from some major lag issues. so i think ill stick to buying this baby. currently using the w810i n had the p800 before that. so a 3.15 mp cam would be an improvement anyway. plus after reading rays comments on the mp issue i guess i dont have a prob with a 3.15 mp cam. thanks again guys

shobz99, 20 Feb 2009hi i am using this phone for 2 months . it has good design ... morebut a laptop is more heavier than a ppc if you're on the go, i say i still go for the xperia, there are so many downloadable apps (for free!!!) that can make xperia better.
mine doesn't have a crack, usually the silver ones have got that problems. have my xperia for 4 months now and loving it more! peace!!!
